Although Mr Obama has made foreign policy pronouncements for some parts of the world since assuming office in January, this year, he is yet to make one for Africa, and his visit to the country, which the White House describes as “one of our most trusted partners in sub-Saharan Africa”, is expected to be used as a platform to unveil his foreign policy for Africa.

“It is expected that President Obama will make a major foreign policy statement on Africa”, Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, told the Daily Graphic.

For Ghana, Obama's visit will be a celebration of another milestone in African history as it hosts the first-ever African-American President on this presidential visit to the continent of his birth.

Remember when Just Lovable Tom Harkin held up a suitcase during primary ‘92/economic downturn that said “George Bush come home” ?

hmmmm, with this good information coming out, I'm beginning to like this African visit... hope the birth certificate people are noting this!! Also, having heard a word about Africa receiving more government aid under Bush than anyone else had ever done. Tight wad obamanation likes to spend it on himself...as long as it's our money...

The eight-hour visit by Clinton was the shortest, but by no means very significant, given the fact that he was the first sitting US President to step foot in Ghana, and as he later indicated, it was the most memorable foreign trip he ever made as President.

With two nights sleep and 36 hours stay in Ghana, President Bush’s visit glows into huge significance as the longest of the three visits.

Spending one night and about 24 hours in Ghana, Mr Obama will not be spending as much time in the country as Bush did; he is also not the first of the three to visit, but undoubtedly, the significance and historic nature of his visit will dwarf those of Clinton and Bush.

“one of our most trusted partners in sub-Saharan Africa”

It's no surprise that Baraq Hussein Obama and Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni should be partners. But speaking of Alhaji...when is our President going to make his haj, as all good Muzzies are supposed to?

Things certainly run smoother here with him away, don’t they.

Seriously, there can be no recovery until he is out of office.

Here's an eerie look at yesteryear! This was drawn in 1934 as an editorial cartoon for the Chicago Times. Anything familiar here? Scary stuff. Could have been drawn yesterday. What has changed? Here is an editorial cartoon 75 years old! Seem familiar? Most all of us know what happened and how long it took to get things straightened out. Most of those in DC weren't even born then! Look at this cartoon from 1934 and look especially carefully at the plan of action. Remember the adage: "Those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it" Looks like we could be in for difficult times. Frightening. Scary stuff. What has changed?

they were running a headliner on Fox earlier that he pledged 63 billion in medical aid to Africa.
Did he ever take a math class? does he even begin to understand how much he spends? we’re in dire straits and giving money away like it grows in conservatives pockets?
This is not to mention,as he stated only a few days ago,the corruption in the goverments there? How much of that 63 billion will get to the people? 60 off the top for corruption? another 2.9 for red tape?
This presidency has gone from bad joke to total nightmare.
