So if we’re asleep and someone comes in and robs the place and we wake up in the morning and nothing is missing? If we didn’t see it, it didn’t happen? My dad complains that someone during the night keeps moving his wallet and keys around and he can’t find them in the morning ....

Baaah, any Buddhist could have told you this.
Drop some acid and see how your reality changes.

Somebody needs to tell this story to Schrödinger’s Cat - it might be a matter of life and death.

New? Now that's funny. The idea has been around since the ancient Greek philosophers and probably before that. It's intriguing, but does not hold up to scrutiny. In my opinion it is an attempt to reduce all of reality to pure subjectivity. Translation: I am God.
Good luck with that.

“Now, in a new book......”
Kinda says it all, someone with a book to peddle so he has to come with something to garner attention.
My new book will say it's a whole new world every morning but I haven’t worked out what to do about the night shift workers.

There’s nothing new about this “new” theory.
It goes back at least to George Berkeley (1685-1753).

It seems that quantum physics is quite compatible with Bishop Berkeley’s philosophy.

President Jimmy Carter wrote the forward to his book One World: The Health & Survival of the Human Species in the 21st Century. I'm convinced because when Jimmy Carter writes the forward to one of your books, what you are saying must be true.

In an episode called Shore Leave, first broadcast in 1966, Kirk and Spock visited a planet where any thought even an idyll one would cause its physical creation. It was done way before that. The movie was called FORBIDDEN PLANET.
