Sotomayor backers urge reporters to probe New Haven firefighter (new low for Dems)

WASHINGTON — Supporters of Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor are quietly targeting the Connecticut firefighter who's at the center of Sotomayor's most controversial ruling. On the eve of Sotomayor's Senate confirmation hearing, her advocates have been urging journalists to scrutinize what one called the "troubled and litigious work history" of firefighter Frank Ricci. "The whole business of getting Supreme Court nominees through the process has become bloodsport," said Gary Rose, a government and politics professor at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Conn. On Friday, citing in an e-mail "Frank Ricci's troubled and litigious work history," the liberal advocacy group People for the American Way drew reporters' attention to Ricci's past.

KEYWORDS:
The Republican minority on Judiciary has the authority to subpoena or invite witnesses (unless the majority does so)..... allowing Mr. Ricci to testify would bring bring exposure to the subject of “reverse discrimination.” Ricci's testimony, if done well, could turn the tide against Sotomayor. Bringing up the issue of affirmative action and linking Sotomayor (and by extension, Obama) in such a prominent venue could have great political impact.

Call 202-225-3121 (Congress switchboard). Every senator should get 10-15,000 calls from Americans. Even with Dems in control, that many calls could make a difference.

MESSAGE TO SENATORS: Americans are sending the word across the land: "Sotomayor's rulings shows she would make policy through the court. The US Constitution precludes judges from making laws. It is understandable that Americans are apprehensive: Sotomayor and her crowd are colluding to exert raw power over the majority---to turn the US into a failed Third World satrap. These racialists do not understand a sophisticated superpower----a democracy governed by the rule of law, based on three co-equal branches of government." END MESSAGE Any Senator who votes to confirm Sotomayor risks his/her reelction chances.

Wait a second since when are "journalists" used for this sort of partisan witch hunt? This is why most MSM newspapers are going bankrupt. The one sidedness is obvious to a blind person.

Start writing your senators to reject this nomination, it probably can't be stopped but it needs to be fought. These are Nazi tactics plain and simple.

No low is too low for these sleazy dems.

Let’s not forget Al Sharpton’s despicable attacks on behalf of Tawana Brawley.

One policeman committed suicide, others bankrupted, families lost.

And then Sharpton’s marches against the White Interloper at Freddie’s Dept. Store in Harlem.

Low???? Nothing is beyond their lust for power.

Sotomayor's secret files: What don't the Democrats want us to see?
Washington Times | Friday, July 10, 2009 | Editorial

We wonder what Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor has to hide. Her confirmation hearing starts Monday, but the White House refuses to turn over boxes of documents for review about her past.

Republican senators requested board meeting minutes of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, where Ms. Sotomayor served on the board of directors from 1980-1992. White House Counsel Greg Craig contends that all documents deemed "responsive" already were sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Contrary to White House dodging, these board meetings may be important in evaluating Ms. Sotomayor's legal and policy reasoning because the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund was involved in a wide range of controversial legal cases.

For instance, the fund fought to abolish the death penalty. It pushed discrimination cases very similar to the New Haven firefighter case in which Ms. Sotomayor's quota reasoning was unanimously quashed by the Supreme Court. The organization publicly defended members of a violent Puerto Rican terrorist group, . . . . (Excerpt) Read more at washingtontimes.com ...

Sotomayor served on the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund's board of directors from 1980-1992. The organization publicly defended members of a violent Puerto Rican terrorist group---the FALN.

Did Soto have anything to do with Pres Clinton pardoning jailed members of the FALN----violent Puerto Rican terrorists who bombed US installations? Pardoned----so that then-Senate candidate Hillary could harvest the NY latino vote.

Soto identifies herself as Puerto Rican first, even though she was born in the USA.

There is nothing in the US Constitution that compels American citizens to seat a USSC justice based on ethnicity.

At some point, one crosses the line between advocacy and libel. All it is going to take is ONE conviction for slander and/or libel, and the RATs will jump ship. I’d love to know who wrote the e-mail; who approved it being sent and who is making claims as to injure someone’s reputation, in a maliceous manner.

My take is, that is exactly what Sarah Palin is going to do. Once she is a private citizen, she can fit back.

This isn’t a “new low for dems” .. THIS IS THEIR STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE .. or have people missed the attack on Sarah Palin.

My theory on Palin - Maybe Obama’s people already know she is going to be a thorn in their side and they’re gonna try to take her out early. THEY HAVE FAILED!!

Ricci could be a child beatin', dog rapin', serial killin' zombie and it doesn't matter. He (and others) took the test and passed with high enough scores to warrant getting the promotions.

Sotomayor didn't understand disparate impact enough to render a proper legal decision and gets overturned, once again. This indicates she is not qualified to sit on the highest court in the land. Ricci's alleged "troubled and litigious work history" has no bearing.

Democrat gorilla dust.
