Maybe the cop car should have had some of these?:

Maybe some Tasers and tear gas grenades too.
This has got to be embarrassing to the PD whose car was grabbed by a common auto thief.

The vehicle contained an assault rifle, a Glock, riot gear, a bulletproof vest, police identification and probably an
emergency light. An emergency light too? Damn, this is series!

LOL!
I cannot speak for anyone here, but I for one have much more in my car whenever I make a trip to the range.
(perhaps no emergency light though)

Yes, especially when he left his GLOCK in the car....What is it with these plastic guns, it is as if GLOCK has become the buzzword for handgun? The car already went through Maaco for a $250 repaint, and it and the GLOCK AND THE ASSAULT RIFLE are now some hood rats toys. Must suck to be that cop.

Seems the restaurant didn’t get their moneys worth from the security they hired if a car thief can take vehicles from the restaurant.

"A Hialeah police spokesman says the 2000 gold Ford Taurus was stolen early Friday morning while an off-duty FORMER officer was working security at the restaurant."

Everyone should have those sorts of items in their car. I do.

Thank God the ossifer wasn't driving one of those deadly SUV’s to add to the mayhem and havoc.

Good Lord, an emergency light. I feel so unsafe.

Since the restaurant wasn’t mentioned can we draw the (safe) conclusion that it was a strip club?

Thieves target a 10 year old Taurus?? Oh, please. Gee, this is a real puzzler, huh? I’d love to see a photo of the cop. And “loaded with weapons?” Hell, my dresser drawer has a more dangerous array of firepower than this old POS Ford.

Was this cop working on his own time or the departments?
Just wondering if he was using city property for personal gain.

At least it wasn’t a van loaded with weapons or the
Talking Heads would be claiming copyright infringement.
