Poll: 86 Percent of U.S. Wants Abortion Restrictions

The American people continue to move to the pro-life perspective on abortion according to the latest Moral Compass survey by the Knights of Columbus and Marist Poll.

The poll mirrored findings of other recent surveys, showing that more Americans identify as pro-life than as pro-choice, and that the vast majority of Americans favor restricting abortion.

There are tens of millions of Americans who will tell a pollster that they are against abortion. Most of them probably believe what they're saying.

But when they get in the privacy of that voting booth they will pull the lever for the pro-abort candidate every time, because that candidate is promising them More Free Stuff.

In these few words, Jefferson summed up the philosophy and principle which underpins America's Declaration of Independence and Constitution. That statement announced to the world a new concept for denying tyranny: that the right to life and liberty cannot be decided by a woman, by men, by elected representatives, or by judges, but by the power described by James Madison as "the Governor of the Universe."

Once that principle is abandoned, the life and liberty of all are not safe.
