LUBBOCK, TXU.S. District Judge Sam R. Cummings sentenced Danny Randell Lott, 46, of Abilene, Texas, to 108 months in prison, following Lotts guilty plea in April to one count of interstate receipt of child pornography, announced Acting U.S. Attorney James T. Jacks of the Northern District of Texas. In addition, Judge Cummings ordered that Lott serve a life term of supervised release and register as a sex offender.
On September 17, 2008, Lott was indicted in this case on four counts of receipt of child pornography, one count of receipt of child obscenity, and one count of possession of child pornography. His initial appearance was scheduled for October 17, 2008, in Abilene, Texas, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Philip R. Lane. Lott, however, failed to appear at the hearing. Lott was apprehended in Lewisville, Texas in late November 2008, by U.S. Deputy Marshals. He had been living there under an assumed identity. Lott had obtained identifying information belonging to another person and used his name, date of birth, driver's license number, and social security number without consent.
In 2006 and 2007, Lott used at least two of his computers in Abilene to access the Internet to receive and view images and videos depicting minor females engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He also ordered subscriptions to Web sites that provided images and videos of child pornography. The case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement; the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and the U.S. Marshals Service. Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven M. Sucsy of the Lubbock, Texas, U.S. Attorney's Office prosecuted the case.
He is going to be a popular guy in prison.
That’s only 9 years. If it were up to me, he’d get the needle in Huntsville!
In Latin America they shoot them right after the trial.
It's not their charter.
In many countries, they shoot them before the trial. ;-)
There should be a law to castrate these monsters
Lobotomize upon conviction and one appeal. And just a side note: mandatory sterilization with any abortion not performed to save the life of the pregnant female. Stop recidivism, save taxpayer money.
Michael Jackson was likely a castrato.
That too, but in Latin America they want to give the appearance of a fair trial.
LOL!
Its true. Crimes like rape, murder, and molestation are an automatic death penalty without appeal. Its pre-ordained even before they are brought before the judge.
Nice to know that in some countries rape and perversion are still frown upon. Not like this country were these things are considered mental problems and, therefore, subject to rehabilitation and freedom for the offender.
I will tell you a story that is sort of graphic. A gentleman was arrested for molesting his child. He was then given a trial and was found guilty. They dragged him from the court room into the back of the court house. There was a squad of policemen waiting. I would say military because the police is a part of the police. They took an M-16 rifle, stuffed the barrel up is rear end and fired. They then all took turns firing their rifles.
They are starting to execute gang members that have been deported from the United States. Their philosophy is that they do not want to deal with it and the only way to get rid of the problem is to kill them.
Good for them. Justice should be just and sure. IMHO
Stevie Wonder must have written the song "Abilene, Abilene, Prettiest town that I've ever seen".
I agree. They do not mess around down there.
What, no 20 years of appeals Im aghast. Execute, and let GOD sort out the mistakes. ;-)
no, no no no...this will never end. There will always be a hunger in these men for this.
What disburbs me is that as late as 2007 'child porn' was openly sold over the internet. Is that a misnomer? Maybe they meant those websites where the 8 year olds posed in bikinis.
