About 40% of registered voters citywide told a Los Angeles Times poll that in the last two years they had “seriously thought about moving out of Los Angeles.”

As The Times previously reported, the most commonly cited reason, by a large margin, was the cost of housing, cited by 46% of those who said they had thought about going.

Only thought of this in the last two years? I grew up in SF Bay area from 1960s on and I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of CA even back then. Nice weather - that’s it! Advice to all there: GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!!!!!

Traffic, schools, job loss cited as reasons for wanting to leave LA ... and definitely not crushing taxes, crime, inept socialist government, waves of illegal immigrants, deteriorating public services, pollution, or corruption ... rigged LA Times poll finds.

Fixed your headline.

I got in a heap of trouble from some CA FReepers but why anyone would move to hell on Earth, AKA LA, is quite beyone my comprehension.

I’m shocked that only 40% of the responders thought about leaving.

the most commonly cited reason, by a large margin, was the cost of housing...

The headline leaves out main reason, but highlights three others.

I don't live in LA. But I do live in the "Greater Los Angeles Area." You sound like you have never been to L.A. Let me just give you three reasons: 1. Beautiful weather. 2. Smoking hot females. 3. Tons of amenities.

“I’m shocked that only 40% of the responders thought about leaving.”

The other 60% didn’t understand the question since they couldn’t speak nor read English.

I’ve been there many times on business and it always seems to me like one big strip mall with and crammed highways. It is totally lacking in character. Not what I would call “world class” at all.

High taxes, protectionist unions, border laxity, budget mismanagement, and Sacramento’s corruption are at the root of all of these “surface” difficulties.

LA Times — try doing some actual “REPORTING.”
