A new round of California worker furloughs takes effect today, causing most state offices to be closed.
The furloughs are designed to reduce spending on state employee salaries. The office closures are expected to save more than $1 billion over the next year. The state has a $26-billion budget imbalance.

They’re overpaid and have too many benefits. What becomes more obvious is they’re not needed full time!!
Gee if they close one day a week they save $1 Billion. If they closed five days a week they save $5 Billion. Only $19 Billion to close the gap. LOL.

Bingo. Make them all part time government employee’s!! Reduced benefits, less taxes.
Agreed upon. They only do part time work anyway.
Perhaps it is the low numbers in today's classes that lends to failure because they don't get enough peer input and expect "special attention".
The end game....We don't need all these darn teachers. We need larger classes and stop the coddling.
School is not hard...It just takes work!!
Audits can be mislaeading I guess. Where is the money going?
