Then you are still supporting them by having to buy parts from them, etc.
And since it’s a GM, you WILL need to buy parts.
Now the UAW and it's goons can steal all of that juicy bail-out money, give a good portion to democrap candidates...and live off the interest in style.
You don't have to fool all of the people all of the time, just the majority of idiots...plenty of those to go around in this country, just look at the last 2 elections.

I’m confused. Maybe someone can clear something up for me.
What I hear doesn’t sound like a regular bankruptcy. I keep hearing that this clears GM to sell its assets to a new company.
So does that mean the obligations (like union contracts and retirement benefit obligations) stay with the old company? What is going to the “new” company? Just the assets?
It sounds to me like a scheme to turn the old GM into a shell company.
Maybe P. T. Barnum would be proud.
Sure.
I thought they didn’t need bankruptcy, now that the government (we the people) bailed them out and they answer to Soetoro and Geithner.
If they had had to really go bankrupt, it would have broken the union.
Labor unions, according to Sen. DeMint, are the largest lobby in D.C. Hence.....
Thanks!
On behalf of Kentuckians,I thank you!
“Get off this forum and go to DU.”
I was on FR lonnnnnnnnnnnnng before you arrived, genius.
Don’t forget when getting a rental car ALWAYS tell them you don’t want a government made car (GM or Chrysler car). I just did it yesterday...and I tell them why. This may be the quickest way to make Chrysler and GM to feel the pain. If the rental car companies start going with everything but GM and Chrysler then it can help speed up their collapse (or at least more bailouts which will mean more voters going against the ruling party).
As people are losing jobs we are giving money to the union thugs to under produce poor quality cars.
This is what the Government Ubermasters have in mind for you anyway.
Not sure who you have been buying from for the last years/decades but if you have bought a GM, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, AMC etc it was made by a UAW worker....
Guess I should have said "again"
I look at it this way. They are going to tax the hell out of me either way. I’m hoping for the case of utter economic failure on the Administration’s policies...I want Obama saddled with a depression.
Read Kellys tagline.
You are a perfect example of the point.
Oh, yeah; as a Viet-vet, shove your thanks, you didn’t mean it, then or now.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion, as irrelevant as it may be.
And I can certainly appreciate someone's service while disagreeing with them, or even while thinking them an ass... the two are not related. Having served does not make your opinions automatically correct, and does not excuse rude behavior.
I love my Toyota(s) too! We have a 13 year old Camry with 190,000 on it that still runs perfectly. Last week, we went out and bought our 2nd Camry. I couldn’t part with “old greenie” so we now we have two.
We had always been GM buyers, but were the victims of two GM lemons in the 90’s. Our next car was the Camry, and we will never go back to GM. There is no comparison.
I am a huge Corvette fan, use to own a 77, never again will I own a Government Motors car!
“Because I like em...and last I checked, I still live in a free country and I can still buy what I like.
BTW, my neighbors in KY built it, thank you.”
Could somebody pass this man a copy of the echo mantra?
Well, with the Obamaites buying Saabs, Volvo’s and Prius’s, and the vast majority of conservatives refusing to enable UAW thugs, the nice thing is you’ll have a lot of GM stock to choose from.
I’ve bought GM all my life, and really like my dealer as well - luckily he also reps KIA, and so far as I know the Marines aren’t PO’d at the South Koreans yet, so I’ll just Semper Fi them.
