It was probably the pear as I’m not so fond of them. Paula Deen had a recipe for pineapple-cheddar cheese casserole that was super yummy, I brought it for a big family dinner as a side. It was hot and tangy and went so well with the roasted pork loin, I scored some points with that one. ;)

In addition to the pear salad, a variant is to use pineapple in place of pear. Pinapple on a leaf of iceberg lettuce, with shedded cheese, and a dollop of mayo on top.
