Yep. After losing my extra weight, I have to exercise and weigh daily (as well as controlling portions) to keep it off. And my metabolism is slow, so I end up being hungry a lot of the time. I don’t like that part of it, but I like having a 23 BMI.
That is my experience as well.
I count every calorie, weight daily, and go to the gym 6 days a week. And....I am constantly hungry.
You are right about the slow metabolism, too. To lose a half pound a week I must eat less than 1200 calories. To maintain my weight I don’t dare go over 1600 calories.

You sound like me. I exercise 7 days a week, 365 days a year, for an hour and half. Walking with leg and hand weights. I lost 40 pounds, my bmi is 18, which makes me slightly underweight. I weigh myself daily to keep a close watch on things going up or down. I also keep a food diary so I’m accountable for every calorie I ingest. Pain in the rear? You bet. Do I like what I see when I look in the mirror? Absolutely. Does hubby like it? No, he likes me curvier but I feel better about myself, which translates to benefits for him.
