White House denies manufacturer's boast that First Lady carried their $5,950 bag

Mitchell Obama has her own fashionista on staff, does she not? Somehow I doubt she carries a $5 patent leather handbag.

Why is she carrying a purse in the first place? From the picture, it looks like they’re strolling around a garden. who carries a purse to go for a walk in the garden? And carrying a clutch purse with slacks? That’s a no-no. A clutch is for more formal wear. She needs a fashion czar in a big way.

Earlier this week (while strolling the wooded landscape outside of Moscow), she carried a sexy black clutch, which Italian luxury house VBH boasts is their shiny black alligator manila bag – with a retail sticker price of $5,950.

Who ya gonna believe? I'm going with VBH, they would know they're own product and not want to promote some knockoff. It's likely they know exactly how a $6,000 purse ended up in her manhands.

What a crock she doesn't own anything that is more than a few dollars..At least she dresses like a bag lady why would she have a hand bag worth that much money..I doubt anyone could tell the difference probably think it is a knock off since she wears some pretty hideous clothes..

The whole point is, why would anyone carry an expensive clutch, and especially on a walk in the woods. Was she carrying the clutch as an advertisement for the designer who gave it to her? What was Michelle carrying in that bag?

Michelle is clueless. We should have understood only someone clueless would be married to Barry. At some level, I am starting to feel sorry for her. Laura Bush was such a class act; anyone who followed her would be at a disadvantage. Michelle seems to not have a good personal instinct of appropriate. She would be doing herself a favor if she adopted the African/American church lady sense of style. It would be appropriate, very American and very ethnic at the same time. I am talking brightly colored suits with wonderful hats. Maybe she doesn’t have a good sense of who she is and being married to a fraud chameleon would not help develop a strong sense of self.
