I wish every Alaskan could read this. They should never have allowed this to happen to their governor.

Fortunately their loss may be America's gain, particularly if she follows the path suggested here and uses her platform to reshape the GOP.

Sarah will now lead the millions (no longer silent) in opposition to the destruction of our country, destruction and raping of our economy, purposeful destruction of our Constitution, destruction of our military and security, destruction to our foreign policy, and the attempt to steal our freedom.

The tsunami is rolling and the Fuhrer and his minions in Congress are going to be voted out of office and sent packing in disgrace by the angry American people.

The State of Alaska is going to have to change the process by which “ethics complaints” are filed and handled if they want to avoid another dirty tricks campaign, run at the expense of their leaders and their tax dollars

Compare Sarah’s courageous action of stepping aside, with the stumbling bumbling Governor of Virgina, Tim Kaine, who is trying to assure the state he is worth a fulltime paycheck as Governor while also heading the DNC

“jewel of the kingdom”

I like that, I think I’ll call Sarah “Jewel of the Nation”

Great article.

“she can shape the candidates and the message for the conservative movement. And this is a role in which national Democrats should fear”

We can see and smell the fear when all those mad ranting women in the MSM come out attacking Palin. They get it.

I pray for Sarah. With the government and media mafias after her she needs God’s protection.

"The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whose only thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of the kingdom.

- Sun Tzu

WOW, what a quote! Kinda says it all!

Thanks for sharing that with us!

“They should never have allowed this to happen to their governor.”

Yes, I don’t understand this either. She was very popular, but they just didn’t come out and help on the whole.

Maybe that is how it is in Alaska?

I must congratulate the author on a well-thought-out soliloquy regarding Governor Palin’s unconventional decision. He does not predict glamour and grand sucess, but does express interest in seeing what comes from it, which is (to me) the only standpoint that is valid at this time.

Well done, indeed.

It's going to be fascinating watching her on the battlefield, free of the constraints of both Alaskan state politics and the incompetent McCain campaign. I can't wait.

Frothing liberals, a calumniating media, and McCain's petulant staffers won't be able to stop this juggernaut.

I can't wait either! This is gonna be sweet!

Sarah set up Alaska for success by getting out of the way and putting her successor in place, then showed us (with salmon in hand) that she's willing to get dirty to get the job done. Oh, yeah!

Even without a run for the White House in 2012 (in fact, maybe better without) imagine the power Sarah can wield independently! She can be the Grand Inquisitor of the conservative movement, weeding out RINOs and allowing (through endorsements) only the true-blue conservative to advance. Or set the tone for all manner of moral, ethical and constitutional debates. With her many (MANY!) loyalists and even a smidgeon of organizing, she could swing elections nationwide and even provide a counterbalance to ACORN!

Give her a few weeks to do some homework then grab the popcorn!

Sarah Palin already has the power to destroy the GOP, simply by taking her constituency off the field with her. That's why I've always viewed the attacks on her by other GOP politicos to be colossally stupid - especially given the fact that she strictly obeys Reagan's Eleventh Commandment and never herself criticizes another national Republican figure.

Hoo-yah!

That's why I've always viewed the attacks on her by other GOP politicos to be colossally stupid - especially given the fact that she strictly obeys Reagan's Eleventh Commandment and never herself criticizes another national Republican figure. But her power base also gives her the ability to remake the party, and apparently this is the role she has chosen.

I wish the snobbish GOP leadership would parachute down from their high horses long enough to let these facts sink in deeply. If they would only take a good, long look at everything Sarah is doing right, and they are doing wrong, there would be NOTHING that could stop the born-again-conservative GOP!

Go Sarah!
