Pope Endorses “World Political Authority”
Accuracy In Media ^ | July 7, 2009 | CLIFF KINCAID

Some in the media are calling it just a statement about "economic justice." But Pope Benedict XVI's "Charity in Truth" statement, also known as an encyclical, is a radical document that puts the Roman Catholic Church firmly on the side of an emerging world government.

In explicit and direct language, the Pope calls for a "true world political authority" to manage the affairs of the world. At the same time, however, the Pope also warns that such an international order could "produce a dangerous universal power of a tyrannical nature" and must be guarded against somehow.

The New York Times got it right this time, noting the Pope's call for a world political authority amounted to endorsement of a New World Economic Order, a long-time goal of the old Soviet-sponsored international communist movement. Bloomberg.com highlighted the Pope's call for a new world order with "teeth."

The Pope's shocking endorsement of a "World Political Authority," which has prophetic implications for some Christians who fear that a global dictatorship will take power in the "last days" of man's reign on earth, comes shortly after the United Nations Conference on the World Financial and Economic Crisis issued a call for global taxes and more powerful global institutions. U.N. General Assembly President, Miguel D'Escoto, a Communist Catholic Priest, gave a speech at the event calling on the nations of the world to revere "Mother Earth" but concluded with words from the Pope blessing the conference participants.

OK — sounds to me like a bit of a contradiction. World government or no?

Benny! Benny! Would you listen to yourself!?

A hundred million people were murdered by their own governments in the 20th Century, the vast majority by socialist governments.

Does that mean anything to you, Benny?

If you believe in such things -- and the Catholic church does -- the Beast or the AntiChrist could not flourish in a multinational world, since the remaining 'good' nations would band together to fight the nation the AntiChrist co-opted.

Therefore, a prerequisite to the coming of the AntiChtist is a One-World-Government.

The Pope is a unwitting tool of Satan (on this topic).

"Ok, right, we got the "guarded against" thing figured out now. It's really complicated in a Rube Goldberg sorta way, but trust us, it's air tight so we're good to go. Now, everyone line up for your Global ID tatoos."

As a good Catholic, I may well go to hell for this (or the thousand or so other violations of God's laws over the years, so what is one more, lol) but IF we are to believe in the doctrine of “INFALLIBILITY,” and he continues to espouse this utter nonsense, then I may very well become a heretic!

It’s continually amazing that so many supposedly educated people can’t understand that “competition” and “working in one’s self interest” have been essential to the advancements made in human history. Doesn’t produce a perfect world, just the best one possible.

I have not fully digested this encyclical, and I don't know all the context. The Pope is naive however, if he believes that such a governing body would not become corrupt and subject to the whims of a dictatorial person or elite group.

To my good Catholic friends on FR: Please read the Book of Daniel, the first part has already happened and is testified in other books in the OT, pray to God to reveal the meaning of the latter part; the Book of Ezekiel (offering up the same prayers to God) then the Book of Revelation, again offering up prayers to the Lord to help you understand, where you are in all of these prophetic works and what they are telling you.

Many of these prophecies have already come to pass but others coming in the future - your future, perhaps.

You might research some genuine biblical scholars on these books.

These events happening now or about to happen, whether in our lifetimes or not, have already been predicted and there will be many "who are led astray" by the "wolves in sheep's clothing" among us.

No need to look only to the words of the Pope or other religious or "world leaders" but to the words of God written just for you to ponder and pray over.

Thanks, Sam. Doesn’t it get old, hearing whiny leftists in America complaining that because everything isn’t perfect, that everything isn’t fair for everyone, therefore we should throw the American model out in the street? And it’s particularly annoying that we don’t have many eloguent and aggressive spokesmen on our side who could so easily shout this crap down everytime it is raised. No one steps up.
