I caught that too, The innocent explanation is if on a full moon, he would fall off ;) It was bizarre. Why not a cloud to sit on?

Otherwise I thought she did a good job. The Little Prince is a lovely book.
I noticed she had not actually seen him since the early 90s I am guessing she realized he was not acting right or something.
