China, India reject climate change restrictions

The old adage advises people not to interfere when their opponents seem intent on driving themselves to failure. The leaders of China and India appear to understand that well. Seeing that the West will adopt senseless restrictions on energy production and economic output, they have declined to jump off the same cliff themselves, throwing the G-8 conference into a turmoil that will be unfortunately brief:

Hopes of a deal on climate change at the Group of Eight industrialised nations summit in Italy were today hanging by a thread.

As world leaders sat down for a working lunch at the start of a three day meeting of the G8, it emerged that negotiations had failed to reach agreement on halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Summit negotiators, who do the hard bargaining before the heads of state arrive to complete the agreements, failed to make progress on the issue in talks that continued late last night. China and India are understood to have blocked any mention of the target in the draft communiqué, insisting that the developed economies should promise to cut their own emissions sharply by 2020 before asking developing nations to commit to a long term target.

Excellent — the scams of our so-called “government” are not being swallowed by other nations. The format of telling Obama what he can do with his radical liberal scams continues and that is good for America and its people. If America were the only nation doing “CAP AND TAX”, it would be economic suicide. Everyone in the world knows this — except our radical liberals who think their taxation schemes are “well veiled”....

It’s bad news when China and India make more sense then our ‘leaders’.

"The breakdown in negotiations has undermined President Obama’s chances of producing a diplomatic coup when he chairs talks on climate change at a meeting of the 17-nation Major Economies Forum tomorrow."

(snip)

Obama may plan to return home, waving a piece of paper over his head to the adoring masses of the White House press corps, claiming a victory for climate change in our time,

Didn’t know Nevil Chamberlain had a brotha....

Sorry Obama and Gore, but the Chinese and Indians are not gonna stay poor so you can continue to live a “carbon-neutral” lifestyle of private jets and big homes.

The Kyoto Treaty never included China or India. It was always the “send your factory to China” treaty.

We complain about industries moving overseas but you can hardly blame them. We treat manufacturers and refiners like they are the enemy. Why would anyone in their right mind, for example, build anything in California?

Cap and trade is legalized money laundering, legalized corruption, and yet another tax loading down your producers, and these costs will be paid by customers in every case. Higher prices, fewer productive jobs, and more money for the suits who produce nothing. And more suits poking their noses into the affairs of the productive, making life just that more difficult. If it was you, and your money, you’d go where the leaches weren’t bleeding you at every turn.

People had better start to realize that the likes of Hussein and Gore may be more detrimental to the health of this planet than the commies are.

Well, we may be broke, starving and freezing, but at least we can feel good about our relationship with mother earth.

Seems like a good trade off!

The news on the “global warming” front is very good today. China and India are out out out out out. Russia would also be out but they were bribed by making their CO2 baseline for reductions 1991. Back when it was the USSR with a crumbling empire with more factories and more people

If China and India reject this stuff—it can’t work. We should reject it too—until I see some real Global Warming or sea rising—they are not. Only when I see proof rather than some computer model or hysterical talk will I give in to this nonesuch. Jesus will return before all these dire thing happen.
