CONROE, Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Wednesday Sarah Palin is committed to campaigning for his re-election bid and that he welcomes the support of the soon-to-be-former Alaska governor.

Why is Kay Bailey challenging him?
WHY WOULD SHE CAMPAIGN FOR PERRY? TALK ABOUT A RINO!
Good! No chance for anti-life, pro-Obama, Palin-hating Kay-Baily Hutchison.
Because Kay-Baily Hutchison is a big time democrat-loving, Obama supporting super-RINO with an anti-life record???
How’s Perry stack up on a conservative level?
One more political IOU for Governor Palin, the first being from Saxby Chambliss.
Possibly, but regardless of what you think about his past track record, he said what needed to be said at the first San Antonio Tea Party. The media totally went ballistic and distorted what he said, but it had to be said.
Give him credit for that if nothing else.
I believe that he and Palin have a lot in common because they are governors from oil producing states. And from states who still value independence and personal freedom.
This is why when backed against the wall the National Republican Party suddenly seems to be willing to support the Conservatives in the party. When they have no choice and are threatened with a bolt of the Conservatives.
If that is what it takes, So Be It.
Kay Barely-Republican
I know some of you might not like Governor Perry, but I think he’s a really nice guy. I follow him on Twitter, he defends Sarah a lot..and he has done a good job for Texas, plus I CANNOT stand Kay Bailey Hutchinson, she is such a RINO loser and she has bashed Sarah time and time again. Kay Bailey is going DOWN
Hutchison is finished. Perry is kind of weird though.
Ask the Texas Freepers. I’d say he is Conservative with some deficits.
Certainly not a hundred-percenter, but the only Conservative choice, in comparison to Hutchison, who is a democrat in disguise (anti-life, voted for Obama’s fascist GIVE act, anti-Palin).
I cannot imagine Kay Baily Hutchison becoming governor of Texas.
Not very well, but way better than KBH.

Compare just their positions on social and fiscal issues (Hutchison voted for Obama’s GIVE act). Perry is pretty Conservative, Hutchison is a liberal. It should be a no-brainer.
He is from a family that were always bluedog democrats until Rick switched parties. I know his father, may wife and I were delegates at the State Republican Convention with him.
My family has know the Perry’s for 2 generations+. Have not always agreed with them on local issues, but they are respectable.
I have never met “Rick” although we grew up in the same county. He is a little younger than I am.
My wife and I are voting for him again.
If Sarah helps Perry, and he in turn helps Sarah in 2012 (or whenever) I am all for it. Even if Perry has his warts.
I'd rather deal with a wart than with the cancer that is obama.
And so the RINO taunts begin.
On the things that matter, taxes, the economy, keeping the budget balanced, he has been fantastic.
But a lot of people despise him over his attempt to implement the Trans-Texas Corridor.
By Texas Standards he is a “Mainstream Conservative” by standards of anywhere else he would be considered too Conservative to even run for dog catcher.
When stacked up against KBH, there is no question who is the wiser and more Conservative Choice.
The “RINO taunters” should have a look at the liberal Hutchison first, before taunting. How any Republican or Conservative could seriously want her to win is beyond me. I’d take Perry over her within a heartbeat.
