One of the best Governors in America-- Sarah Palin of Alaska-- has officially endorsed another of America's best Governors-- Rick Perry-- in Texas' 2010 primary race.
The news underscores the appeal Governor Perry has among both social and fiscal conservatives in the GOP. Sarah Palin is a true rock star of the Republican Party and has earned high praise for her fiscal discipline and her commitment to transparency and government reform.

Geez, where are the mods when you need them? There is no excuse to posting 543634 replies in a single thread.
Have you tried his website?
Spamming? LOL jeeze. Answering other’s posts is now defined by spamming?
That’s good news that something other than natgas are now being permitted and constructed. They had run into some of the same problems permitting new coal fired plants in Kansas as well.
I’m served by a coop which means I can’t shop rates like many others can in Texas. IIRC if you’re in an area served by a city owned utility or coop you’re pretty much tied to them.
I think she is still the Governor until sometime later this month.
Actually it's five states, but that isn't going to happen and neither is secession.
When I write this post, there are 84 posts in this thread.
DallasSun has made 20 replies IN ONE THREAD.
1/4 of this thread is almost all of your replies.
And these replies are doing nothing but trying to astroturf that ‘Texans’ hate Perry.
I live in Texas. I have met Perry. He is very much laughed at, as he is ‘Big Hair’ Perry. Perry is seen more of a ‘lightweight’ or a ‘metrosexual’ than as a liberal which is what Hutchison is.
DallasSun, you are astroturfing in this thread with your bazillion replies.
Sarah Palin is an honorary Texan. Texans tend to look down on others from other states with one exception: Alaskans. Alaskans make the cowboys blush. Alaskans are the only other American where a Texan would point to and say, “They are more ‘Spartan’ than we are...” The rigorous lifestyle of the Alaskan is admired down here.
Your panicked astroturfing shows that the liberal dream of making Texas a Democrat state is nowhere near going to happen. Even W Bush got the hispanics to vote for him.
Stop spamming or I’m getting the mods.
but still in ‘Breaking/Front Page News’ on the home page.
Isn’t this old news? I remember Sarah endorsing Perry shortly after the RGA meeting several months ago.
She should have remained nuetral on that one. Perry is just the lesser of two evils.
She just dropped like a lead balloon in my opinion of her.
Anybody who supports foreign companies "privatizing" our highways has got to get the old heave-ho.
Wohooo! Breaking News from..............February
Count me as one.
Admin Mod just corrected!
So you don’t mind paying higher taxes then???
No tax hikes, balanced budget, strong economy (especially with a deep recession going on) and great prospects for the future.
I can’t ask for more out of a Governor. I don’t agree with him on everything but he has been a damn good Governor. People can bring up this or that issue, but on what matters, taxes, opportunity, balanced budgets, he has been very successful.
Coal (actually lignite) is too expensive to strip mine because of the reclamation and the low BTU content. Much of the coal now comes down from the Rockies or plants have been switched to burn natural gas.
The only thing Kay has going for her is that she’s sexy.
My original plan was to vote for some little known true Conservative (Medina??) in the primary, and vote for Perry in the runoff strictly to keep KBH out. But with Sarah’s support, I will likely vote Perry in the original primary.
By the way, I just locked in for a year at 10 cents. But I would look for electricity prices to drop even further as natural gas is headed south for the near term. Have you tried www.powertochoose.org?
And, again, she has been a great supporter for the military and the military bases here in San Antonio. I know Perry has his supporters. I should have said I know no one personally who will vote for Perry. I stand corrected.
