If you would kindly explain the distinct differences between “resign” and “quit”, perhaps I’ll feel less like I’m watching a train wreck happening in slow motion.

In her own words she resigned so Alaska could get out from under the crushing weight of the overwhelming bogus ethics charges from degenerate liberals, and the state could move forward with the agenda she had set for it.

She also said she could move forward helping others in a bigger way to forward that same agenda in the greater United States.

That's what she said, only the MSM and people who don't listen are saying "she quit".

This move is preventing the ‘train wreck’ that the left had planned. Stopped it dead.

Only my opinion: Quit is like Obama and Dodd in 2007-08 sitting Senators doing zilch in Congress, while running for POTUS. Quit is like Byrd and Kennedy drawing pay while not performing their elected duties.
Resign is like giving notice to those who hired me that I had found a better calling and would not waste their time or money while moving on.

No offence or malice in this message!

I'll try, for a different thread

When you are playing the other fellows game and losing you change the game. You don't play thier game until your beaten and broke. Only a fool would do that, far far wiser to say ok you won that round now we are going to play my game.

Or put in military terms, if you are under siege by a superior force, but your forces are mobile do not wait until you are completely surrounded. Find an escape route, use it, then find a field of battle were you have an advantage.

I can think of more then a few great commanders where retreat, seemly in defeat was in fact a prelude to a great victory. In fact that was one of Napoleons favorite moves, he learned it from Alexander the Great.
