Apparently Sarah Palin's decision to quit her post as Governor of Alaska wasn't as misguided as it sounded at first, because it has certainly already begun to work it's magic on winning over the Republican party. According to a new USA Today/Gallup Poll, her popularity has surged amongst Republicans since she made the announcement.
71 percent of Republicans said they would vote for Palin if she ran for president in 2012, and three-fourths believe that Palin has been treated unfairly by the media.
Two-thirds of Republicans want Palin to be "a major national political figure" in the future, while three-fourths of Democrats are hoping that she won't be. Independents by 55%-34% would prefer she leave the national stage.
[[If Sarah runs in 2012, she’ll be running against Obama. In 2008, she happened to be the Veep on which the head of the ticket looked too much like George W.Bush to the average voter. Their opponent was the ‘cool black guy’, and voting for him would assuage while liberal guilt and show just how sophisticated one was. That barrier has been broken, and I don’t expect he’ll get some of those voters next time.]]
Well I honeslty hope you’re right, and that I am wrong- I just get a sinking feeling, and have just tried to analyze what and why is all- when I read the article (which incidently was for Sarah Palin- but hwich pointed out her weakenesses) I thought- there’s something to what was being said, and htinkign back to her speeches, I coudl see some of htose weaknesses- but hadn’t noticed them during the elections- I hope it’ll be the same, that people own’t notice during hte next election, and hopefully, we’ll have soem sanity restored to hte hwitehouse by electing her- I truly DO hope she can win, and that I’m wrong- honest- What I said, and what I related abotu what the article writer said isn’t an attack on Sarah, and certainly isn’t meant to discredit her in any way- but it’s just pointing out that both she AND the GOP NEED to restructure their message, and soudn more presidential and dynamic and stick to hteir core values- but present htem in a way peopel will truly get excited and vote for
Okie, let’s pray that she has time to do the task. This devil in the White House, along with his minions, is moving and destroying, at lightning speed. I pray there will be time. My problem is with the Repubs. You cannot trust many of them to make the right decisions. They are not a cohesive group and frankly, neither are they really Conservative or more importantly, Godly. CO
Pray that she is surrounded by the armor of God.
Amen.
Go Sarah!
CO, at this point I do believe there is still time, because God is never late when His people cry out for His help and are again willing to believe Him.
Often that help is apparent just in the nick of time, but that’s from a human perspective.
Personally I’m convinced that there are millions of my countrymen who fit the description, so for now I remain optimistic notwithstanding the peril we find ourselves in.
One thing I’m sure of: our fearless sister Sarah walks in the spirit and grace of God Almighty (and the enemy knows it).
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
I posted an excellent article from the Alaska Dispatch a few minutes ago, written by one of the great editors at Conservatives4Palin.com. Hope you see it; it goes right to the issue of Palin and the GOP, etc.
Yes sir, Sarah knows it, but if you have ever read any of America’s few real prophets, as in David Wilkerson you will know that even as far back as 1998 he wrote the book “ America’s Last Call”.. What a book. A $6.00 book packed full of prophetic gems. Anyway, he maintains that America has already passed the FlashPoint at which God will not turn back. He says that there is salvation for individuals only. Unless America became as Ninevah and the ENTIRE nation from biggest to smallest repented, it no longer will work. He has decreed Judgement. What a shame. I so much care as I have American cousins and relatives and I have followed your politics for 30 years. When Glenn Beck asks folks on the street what the stimulus package is and they aren’t sure, I’m so floored I can hardly take it. I know most of the congressment and Senators from almost most of the states. There are some I am not familiar with but mostly I know them. And believe me brother, I care. I find this very very sad and it’s very hard for me some days not to lose my sanctification. I can barely take what I am seeing. My saving grace is that I know I belong to Him and He belongs to Me. And many of my American friends are in the same position. At this point, they must take care of their own salvation and work fervently to bring in our respective families loved ones. Blessings, CO
I do!! CO
CO, we’re in pretty sad shape, I agree. We’ll see whether it’s past the point of no return. I’m still hopeful that we can turn it around.
Either way, when he appears and the trumpet sounds, we’re outta here.
AMEN. Good to be on the winning team huh? CO
