NEA leader: Conservative b@$+@%&s picking on us'
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | July 07, 2009 | Bob Unruh

The retiring general counsel for the National Education Association has complained that conservative "ba----ds" are picking on his powerful union, which boasts more than 3 million members who contributed "hundreds of millions" of dollars annually to its causes.

The comments came from Bob Chanin, who gave a speech at last week's convention on the occasion of his retirement.

The comments have been posted on YouTube: (Some of the language in the video will be objectionable)

According to Linda Harvey of Mission America, "His prepared remarks were peppered with profanity and reflected an arrogant, in-your-face attitude about NEA's well-known political involvement. Just listen to the You Tube. Advance to 16:00 and begin listening there."

Among Chanin's observations: "Why are these conservative and right-wing ba----ds picking on NEA and its affiliates?"

He explains it is because NEA is "the most effective union in the United States" and boasts of its "power."

No, it’s because you folks are undermining the education of students with do-nothing classes about global warming, self-esteem, empathy classes, the joys of LGBT instead of arithmetic, science, and actual history. That the NEA is also in the back pocket of the DNC.

“Conservative bas&^%ds picking on us.”

Just the way those liberal bas&^%$s have picked on conservatives and their offspring, in their inimitable elitist manner, dripping with sarcasm, derision, contempt and scorn? Is that what he’s talking about?

Aww... Asking why spending more and getting less is picking on them. Poor babies...

Expose them to the free market ASAP

This guy is fortunate that, so far, his union hasn’t been presented with a RICO lawsuit, far as I can tell.

On the other hand, JFK, with a stroke of his pen via Executive Order, granted public employees the right to unionize.

This turkey had better hope we never elect a president ballsy enough to overturn that Executive Order with a stroke of HER pen.

heh :)

If I had my way, the unions would be busted up and the leadership put in jail.

How dare the public demand that teachers teach. It is our tax dollars that pay their wages... When 2+2 = 5 someone needs to be fired.

Listen to that bald-headed, incontinent turd's rant - you'll notice the thing that sticks in his craw the most are the lawsuits. He hates them. It bother him immensely. We need more lawsuits against the NEA - lost of them. Thousands of them. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Bleed the bastards dry.

Hopefully sometime in the future, the NEA will have learned its lesson and go back to being an advocate of education instead of an advocate for homosexuality, socialism and every other far left wacko cause it currently espouses.

Because you’re half free-loaders at best and statist indoctrinators at worst. Get a job. In your field, if you want, but stop wasting our money.

My son's fifth grade teacher actually insisted that division by zero resulted in zero. We had a fun discussion about that one.

What a sickening piece of filth. Folks, the ideas and the attitude displayed by this elitist bastard are precisely why we’re losing our kids’ minds to socialism, sheepery, victim-hood and phony self esteem.

The only answer is to pull your kids out of such a godless and irredeemably corrupt system. They can’t win if you deny them their prey.

We need to wage the same sort of ‘lawfare’ against the NEA and its supporters that the Left has used against Palin and her family.

Let those liberal bastards suffer the death of a thousand cuts. Because what they’ve done to our kids is beyond child abuse.

Let the free market compete fairly against the state ran education system and we WILL see change.

Every time I see a comment like this I'm disappointed.

Why?

Because the 800 pound gorilla in the NEA living room is NOT teachers - it's ADMINISTRATORS !!!!!!!

In Houston, Texas' HISD, there are 3.4 non-teaching personnel for every classroom teacher. Those who are not bus drivers or janitors or the like are "educators" and members of the damn union. THESE are the people who mandate LBGT awareness, "whole language", estimation in math problems and all the other happy horseshit ideas being pimped in education.

Yes, there are poor teachers, and they should be fired. But before going after this mote in education's eye, let's get rid of the damn beam first - ADMINISTRATORS !!!!

You may be right. But today most of us view schools as indoctrination centers. I went to my sons parent teacher conference years ago, all the teachers were wearing their union buttons.. Most of them wanted to cry about their pay raises and other union junk.. They weren’t even concerned about the students.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

They even burned downed a conservative candidate's church, literally attempting to kill the people who were inside. I call that a major form of being “picked on”!
