Point/counterpoint (Press hypocracy)
Waterbury Republican-American ^ | July 6, 2009 | Editorial

"(George W.) Bush, wearing khakis and a knit shirt, was holding a driver in his gloved left hand. ... However incongruous the setting, the president plunged ahead. 'There are a few killers who want to stop the peace process that we have started, and we must not let them,' he said. ... His business out of the way, Bush barely paused for breath before saying, 'Thank you. Now watch this drive.' The abrupt segue illustrates the dilemma Bush will face over the next month as he relaxes and works at his ranch in Crawford, Tex., at a time of global political volatility."

— The Washington Post, "Before Golf, Bush Decries

Latest Deaths in Mideast," Aug. 5, 2002.

— vs. —

"President Obama seems to be morphing into a golf nut these days. ... Why golf? The attraction would seem simple. It's a great escape; the game demands such attention that nothing else matters. It's time spent with friends, an unhurried afternoon in loose clothing (shorts seem to be Obama's preference). ... To some, Obama's frequent outings reflect a cool self-confidence. ... Obama, who shoots in the mid-90s by most estimates, seems to be taking every opportunity to improve his game ..."

— The Washington Post, "Just the Sport for A Leader Most Driven," June 9, 2009, a time of global economic and political instability.

The SRM’s bias is really starting to get to me.
I’ve had enough, and I hope the lot of them burn in hell.

Sorry for holding back.

There is no news, just narrative.

Does the O cheat like Clinton?

My Mother, an inveterate golfer lost all respect for Clinton when she learned of his habit of claiming mulligans and other violations of golfing rules and standards. Her point was that golf was a game of self-regulation and honesty, yet here was the 'First Golfer' making a mockery of that very thing! Everything after that from fake tears at a funeral to 'having a Lewinsky', was judged and reflected in those impressions.

I don't concern myself too much with spelling, I know there will always be an ass wipe around to correct me.

Maybe it’s a contraction of “hypocrisy” and “democracy”?

The word “democracy” was in my mind when I made a stab at spelling “hypocrisy”.
