Former first cat Socks, the pet of President Clinton's daughter, Chelsea, has been laid to rest at the Arkansas Governor's Mansion in Little Rock. A portion of the black-and-white cat's ashes were scattered in a flower garden on the west side of the mansion in the spring, according to the Northwest Arkansas Morning News.

RIP Socks :(
10:1 they were cigar ashes!!
Beats the usual disposal area of Fort Marcy Park.
Good thing Socks couldn’t speak or he might’ve been buried in that flower garden a good deal earlier.
I had to bury the cat!
Oh no, sorry to hear he’d passed.
No, he wasn’t dead...took two hours to bury him!
Why did you bury him then if he wasn’t dead?
Well, I was going away for a fortnight, and he was not at all a well cat. And you don’t want to come home to a dead cat.

If Socks had still been in Washington,DC, it would have received the Woodrow Wilson Treatment instead of a flower bed.
What a relief. I have been worrying about that everyday for the past decade (sarcasm).
Guess the LA Times is filling up space so they do not have to report all of Zero’s policy failings.
Oh, the cat got dead; we put him in a box
And we dug a little hole and we covered him with rocks
And we picked a couple dandelions, said a little prayer
And we all went off to bed cause we mostly didnt care
(Heywood Banks)
Sox the cat was committed to a trusted aide to keep the critter from blabbing it’s insider knowledge of the Clintoon charade.
OTOH, Buddy the dog was a blabber-mouth and was turned out into traffic to meet his demise.
Meeyowl.
“OTOH, Buddy the dog was a blabber-mouth and was turned out into traffic to meet his demise.”
I hate to correct you, but it is widely believed that Buddy’s demise was a suicide.
If you ever get the chance to see Heywood live, do it. If you’ve got teenage kids, take them. He’s great (and clean).
As if Chelsea or her parents ever really cared about him. Thank goodness he found a better home with Betty.
I wonder what Kathleen Willey’s cat will have to say to Socks if they bump into each other in Cat Heaven.
Went to his grave without saying what he had seen...
Was mulch one of those uses?
Seriously, though ... losing a family pet can be very sad. RIP Socks.
Losing a family pet can be very very sad but I doubt the Clintons are broken up over the loss. And the cat is buried on the grounds of the governor’s mansion because? An added tourist attraction? To save money? hmm...
Cats don’t go to heaven.
(ducking ...)
Mulch.
