The sins of Sarah Palin
POLITICO ^ | 7/7/09 | ROGER SIMON

Sarah Palin

is a sinner. She has violated several commandments and thoroughly deserves the savage beating that she is now getting from political mandarins and media elites.

If it were not for one simple fact, I would say she was through in politics. And that fact is that if the Republicans were picking a nominee today, they would pick Sarah Palin.

No? Don’t believe me? Who would beat her? Tim Pawlenty? Bobby Jindal? Haley Barbour? Mike Huckabee? Mitt Romney?

All of these men might build credible, attractive, even powerful political operations by 2012. But right now...

Mr Simon: Have you forgot?

Jhn 8:7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”

Mat 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Good article, and he is right...Sarah does not fit in the mold. She is real and hopefully will remain real. God Bless Sarah Palin!

“Tim Pawlenty?”

Are you out of your mind?

“Bobby Jindal?”

He has to go FAR to make up for that speech on TV.

“Haley Barbour?”

Haley WHO??

“Mike Huckabee?”

NOT A CHANCE. He helped give us OBAMA by torpedoing Romney.

“Mitt Romney?”

Maybe

We’re all sinners.
But few of us have the privilege of being able to so directly serve the Lord in the cosmic battle.

Palin is the winnowing fork. Are you wheat or chaff?

Great article!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the moneyline:

She is the “darling of a certain element” of Republicans? It seems to me that with the party collapsing to its most conservative core, that “certain element” could also be called the majority of the Republican Party.

On Morning Joe this mornijg, Mika was defending Sarah Palin and if looks could kill, every critical man in the discussion would be dead. She pretty much implied that men can’t comprehend what it is like trying to balance a career with having baby’s and raising them.

And of course Roger had this very prescient piece back in June:

Seven things Sarah Palin must do now to win later

she has made herself an outcast to the mandarins, the pooh-bahs and the elites.

and she just might shake up the republican party which could use a good shaken up.

Read the article in it’s entirety...it’s actually a pro-Palin piece. He’s not casting stones at her, but at her attackers and critics in the media and GOP.

I heard Michael Steele tell Fox News he didn’t think Sarah would be ‘a viable candidate’ for 2012.

Good article, but my guess is she has decided to run for president while the iron (such as the polls and her crowds) is hot. She does exist in a sexist world, and running while older than the sitting president was when he was elected, but still pretty and vibrant with youth may be the best for her as well.

Finally, the country needs her message to be compellingly communicated, and she is the only compelling communicator in the party that can best support it.

Mr. Steele was, after Sen. McCain, the Republican Party’s second greatest mistake in the past year.

Wrong on both counts, 2 outstanding 2012 candidates. Romney is still not trusted by too many social conservatives, I think he flip flopped more in 2008 than Kerry did in 2004.

Michael Steele has proven his worth so far as RNC Chair...heck, we had a great election in NY, he isn’t chastising the NY GOP for embracing Mayor Bloomberg, he wanted to run a more “viable” cnadidate in PA...

He has been so-so at best so far. I don’t think he has a clue.

Commandments come from God. “Conventional wisdom” comes from the Washington “elite”.

Sarah has transgressed against the conventional wisdom, and I say F**K the jackass “elite” sons-of-female-dogs who believe she needs to be savagely beaten in the media.

I am SO freaking tired of all of the cockamamie bullcrap these jackanapes have foisted on us for so fricking long!
