I’m really looking forward to the next election and plan on buying a new cane just for the occasion. I hear hickory is right tuff.

A hoe handle is the best cane. Made of Hickory, strong enough to hold a lot of weight should you have to use it to prevent a fall. They can be made to look good with Brass tacks as adornment.Just the right length.
Many motorcyclists use them. You can too.
