GAFFNEY | Authorities have identified a man killed by North Carolina police as the killer they think shot five people to death over six days last week in this mostly rural Cherokee County community.
Law enforcement officials identified the suspect Monday night as 41-year-old Patrick Tracy Burris. They said he was a felon with a lengthy record who was paroled in April after serving more than eight years for felony breaking and entering and larceny.
Authorities said bullets in the gun found on Burris after he was killed by police early Monday near Gastonia, N.C., matched those used to kill residents in and around Gaffney, some 40 miles away.

Good news.
Have a nice trip, you POS.
Even with the high cost of bullets these days, this will still save the N.C. taxpayers beaucoup bucks.
Bill his relatives for the bullets and time it took to hunt and kill this dog.
I would rather see the names and images of the victims, than see anything related to this (paroled) animal.
Our system is broken. Releasing this human mad-dog (criminal rights and all) was deemed more important than the lives of his future victims.
I suppose the satisfaction the do-gooders feel should be reward enough.

Burris had a long rap sheet filled with charges such as larceny, forgery and breaking and entering from states across the Southeast, including Florida, Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. He had been paroled from a North Carolina prison in April after serving nearly eight years.
“Look at this,” Lloyd said, waiving a stapled copy of Burris’ criminal record. “This is like 25 pages. At some point the criminal justice system is going to need to explain why this suspect was out on the street.”
******
He was wanted on numerous warrants.
Blanton listed some of Burris criminal history, which includes 2 counts of armed robbery, multiple traffic violations, a weapons violation and possession of stolen goods.
I hope they got the right guy. This may take a few interesting turns.
1. He doesn’t look that much like the artist rendering.
2. WTH was this loser doing on parole?
Well so much for our criminal justice system.
With such an enormous revolving door designed into the system; is anyone really surprised by this?
The way it should end for all these POS.Small consolation for the families. So very sad.
Multiply the release of perps like this times 1,000, or maybe 10,000, and that’s what California is facing, due to their collapsed budget.
Calling this evil one a dog is insulting dogs. :)
“Bill his relatives for the bullets and time it took to hunt and kill this dog.”
That is a ridiculous statement that I hold neither your state nor your relatives responsible for.
What do you find ridiculous about it?
“What do you find ridiculous about it?”
Possibly the concept that you propose to hold people who had, as far as is known, no part in this individuals crimes, were not a party to them, and did not contribute to them. Perhaps, if you were held to this standard, you have associates that have done things that you would not be judged for.

Possibly the concept that you propose to hold people who had, as far as is known, no part in this individuals crimes, were not a party to them, and did not contribute to them, accountable for them. Perhaps, if you were held to this standard, you have associates that have done things that you would not be judged for.
Huh?
