HELP For Whom? (Obama To Fine The Uninsured) Same as RomneyCare!
IBD Editorials ^ | july 6, 2009 | Investor's Business Daily

Health Reform: A Senate health care bill will force Americans to buy health insurance whether they want it or not. Where the extra doctors to treat them will come from is anybody's guess...Debby Smith, the uninsured cancer patient hugged by President Obama, is also a Democratic operative. She is a member of Organizing For America, a group that is a project of the Democratic National Committee, and Smith was invited to the event by the White House itself...Acknowledging that many are uninsured because they choose to be, a Senate version of medical reform imposes fines of $1,000 for uninsured people who decline coverage. Families who do so will pay more.

We should all join Organizing for America and attend the meetings. Randomly hand out pocket constitutions and tell them conservatives keep harassing you about finding where in the document universal health care is authorized and you need their help to find it.

That was Hillary’s plan that he attacked. It’s the way to get the healthy to pay for the sick while claiming its not a tax.

They know what’s best for us and they’re going to crush us with their love if we disagree. Don’t make Mother Pelosi cry.

Working on an all cash basis might benefit a bunch of folks. Do it if you can. It’s not readily available.

HillaryCare died in 1994 when Americans realized it would force them to give up the coverage and health care providers they liked.

ObamaCare is no different.

WRONG! ObamaCare is different because the liberals own both houses of Congress and the White House. It will pass, just like all of the other "impossible" legislation in the past four months.

Exactly. I have coverage through an employer, but overall these f**ktards need to get it through their heads that we are maxed out. I’ve been working two jobs for 5 years to maintain a standard of living and pay for my house MYSELF (sans bailout pfftttt...) while supporting my two kids alone. I’m at my saturation point. I think a lot of Americans are in the same boat. We can’t take another push without breaking.

I’ve watched the price of my home sink to less than 50% of its so-called “value.” I’m mentally preparing myself to walk away from my home when my ARM adjusts at the end of next year. They can have the damn thing - and pay the HOA on it, too. F* them all. They can rent it out to Section 8s and see if they’ll pay the taxes on it.

How is heathcare working out in Massachusetts? Not so great for some people, I would imagine. So, in order to avoid a fine, you pay the premium and you might or might not get medical care depending upon if doctors are available? Sounds like you’re spending money for nothing and just enriching insurance companies. Ain’t going to fly, IMHO.

“These hacks should be dragged from their offices and beaten senseless.”

That would be redundant.

Yup. And Romney’s still bragging about his socialist big government boondoggle. The guy is a full-blooming statist.

Calling it a “$1000 fine” is a little off the mark. It implies that you can say, “well screw you, I’m just not going to pay it, go ahead and arrest me and I’ll see you in court”, and you still have your $1000 as long as you can keep from answering the knock at the door. That kind of honest man-to-man challenge went by the wayside some time ago.

As has become the norm in these kinds of transactions, they simply reach into whatever financial pocket you have anywhere. First they deny you a deduction on your tax return. If that doesn’t cough it up, then it will be the now familiar paycheck garnishment, bank levy, or property lien.

This is on top of the proposed $3000 per family energy tax.

Maybe so, but Romney is not president, federalism allows one state and its governor to screw up and expose the folly of his policies, and Romney had nothing to do with the post - until the title change.

LOL. RomneyCare is morphing into ObamaCare right in front of our eyes. Socialism all the way. Romney still brags about his socialist program especially now that he sees a real chance of it being implemented at the federal level. He’s a full-fledged socialist! And he claims to be a Republican. No thanks!!
