Awright people! Sarah does not need hyperventilating friends like this Colleen person.
We are conservatives, NOT (spit!) “populists”!
I hear that word and my spider-sense starts tingling, we do not need to trade one cult-of-personality for another. And Sarah sure as hell does not ask us to.

Do not under-estimate the importance of Palin’s populist appeal. We are conservative but a lot of voters don’t think of themselves that way.
A month ago in California the voters turned down new tax proposals by a 2:1 margin. These were not all conservatives, they were just people tired of being screwed over by the insiders and power players. Whoever appeals to this crowd can win the WH in 2012.

I don't consider supporting Sarah as being a member of a 'cult of personality'. She could give real support to other politicians who may have started to think that they'd never be able to stand tall for conservatism again, because they were going to have to take the abuse she did from the MSM, AND from the leadership of the GOP. With her courage, and her personality, she'll go out there and stump for the conservative message, and likely bring some really good folks up as she goes. That will give us not only a great conservative voter base, but a real farm team from which to pick and choose Congressional candidates, and even Presidential candidates in the future.
She's not in this just for herself.

We are conservatives, NOT (spit!) populists! Reagan won two landslide elections with populist support.
