"She's retreating"

In the words of General MacArthur said, "We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction."

Good Afternoon Goldstein,

Our prayers are with you as you cross the country preparing the upcoming battle fields for the initial skirmish which brims on the horizon of a new millennium. The missiles fly over the former enemy and now lynch pin for Pacific rim defences, the Brother receives advice and instruction from the son’s of the Iron Tyrant in his continuing prosecution of the domestic war against the people of America. Perhaps great Goldstein it is not an accident that you have chosen this one to speak into the golden microphone today. With the last decent and pure vestiges of Ripen Wisconsin ripped asunder and trampled underfoot by the loyalist Tories whom think that they will destroy the mantle of Ronald Regan and become the new pretenders to the party authorities; the choices are reduced and the clarity of Occam begin to crystallize.
Meanwhile, the pedophiles cult of personality supersedes the issues of freedom of health, choice, transportation, the ballot box, education, and on and on... with all attention and worry focused on a fabricated world which NEVER really existed in any LAND.

God Bless you Rush where ever you are. Remember, you will always be at fault, and you will always be blamed, because, YOU ARE GOLDSTEIN!

But the direction Belling is suggesting is stepping back from it all, with little intention of a 2012 bid.

But he also said she identifies with the common person and is not an elite. The Elites want her gone because she doesn’t fit their mold. The Elite on both sides don’t like her. She must be doing something right to be offending them because she is saying she has a place in politics. She bothers them because she is right on point with her message. And an attack on her is an attack on the common people in America. I agree with that.

But he’s quite getting on my last nerve with the ‘poor Sarah can’t take it, so she’s bugging off’ routine. And the others who are saying it. That just doesn’t fit her profile.

Here’s the article Mark is talking about right now. I copied and pasted some of the comments here. Mine is last on the list of comments below. :):

Sarah Palin: The Best is Yet to Come

Here are some of the comments at American Thinker to J. R. Dunn who wrote the article above.

Sadly, you are wrong about several things:

1) Palin will likely run for the Presidency in 2012 (and let us hope that she will). That’s why she resigned - the presidential campaign will de facto begin in early 2011, and Palin will face several dangerous rivals, such as Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, who have certainly learned some lessons during their 2008 campaigns.
2) Absent a RINO presidential nominee of the GOP, or stridently liberal GOP policies in 2012, Obama has no chance of getting reelected. Not even the slightest chance. The reason is that the economy’s situation is deteriorating and will not improve until truly capitalist policies are implemented.
3) Rick Perry is not a good governor - he’s a proponent of the NAFTA superhighway and of the North American Union (something similar to the EU).
4) Obama’s defense cuts were not specifically targeted at Alaska or Palin. They were targeted at the military, because like Clinton, Obama loathes the US military and weapons, and wants to disarm America completely. Obama is a pacifist and opposes all weapons, and that’s why he has enacted his defense cuts - as General McInerney rightly wrote in his article, the FY2010 DOD Budget is a first step towards unilateral disarmament. Hence also the signing of the treasonous START-3 treaty, which is scheduled for today.

The idea that Sarah Palin is retreating to the role of homemaker and mother and leaving politics for now doesn’t match her character or her words. It’s not what she said, she said she was moving forward in a new role. She’s subsequently posted about national issues: “I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our values of less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint. I hope you will join me. Now is the time to rebuild and help our nation achieve greatness! God bless you! And I look forward to making a difference – with you!”

The big battle ahead is for the future of America. Do we continue a headlong rush into Socialism or does conservatism regroup? The 2010 midterms are critical for the Republican party to regroup and refocus. The house needs to be retaken, or at least made competitive. Sarah Palin is the ‘star’ who can rally the troups. I think this is what she’s going to do — and she has to spend a lot of time in the ‘lower 48’ in 2010 to do that.

Palin’s move puts yet more pressure on Obama to finally get some results, as the soaring rhetoric isn’t hypnotizing the plebes like it used to. This week Helen Thomas, Colin Powell, and Warren Buffet all turned on him. Polls are looking droopy for The One lately.

Obama’s porkulus program is a train wreck, all it’s done is bump interest rates and tank the dollar. We are being laughed at by bad guys like Tehran, Pyongyang, and Al Qaida who amazingly turned-down Barack’s friend-requests.

Palin could trounce him in 2012, when Americans would vote for the Gipper-in-Heels in droves- while begging for lower taxes, free enterpise, a defense posture with some backbone… and an end to the radical, anti-American nightmare we’ve got now.

Go get ‘em Sarah-

I would argue that Rush Limbaugh and others have done more for our country than several of our Representatives. One doesn’t have to be an elected official to have a positive effect on our country. JC Watts left office to do some worthy things and appears to be ready to get back into politics. Sarah is young and has plenty of time to get back into politics.

Obama was successful at sounding conservative during his campaign and won a lot of people over with his talk about personal responsibility. I am not sure how inspirational those speeches will sound after he has spent his first term in office pushing government solutions to every problem and reducing personal responsibility.

Mr. Dunn, whereas I wouldn’t Sarah Palin for quitting politics for a few years, I don’t think that is going to happen. As a previous commenter Zbigniew Mazurak stated, we do not have now - and will not have in 2012, the comfortable economy that Bill Clinton had in 1996. Using the Clintons’ own famous slogan, “It’s the economy, stupid,” as a rallying cry, we have the basis for a possible Sarah Palin win in 2012.

Sarah Palin will spend some time helping her number one priority, her family, but as her aggressive speech with the analogy of the basketball point guard hinted, this isn’t a quitter talking. Historical forces could propel her to seek the Presidential or Vice Presidential nomination for the good of her country and the security of her children.

I once was in Yosemite and stood close to some people feeding a mama bear. Even though I am from New York, I was not dumb enough to step between a mama bear and her cubs. The same logic applies to Alaskan mama bears. Watch out, Eastern Establishment “conservatives.” You may “lose face” in the most literal, clawing terms.

“It happens to have been the movement conservatives — at least those of the Northeast Corridor, who on the basis of tradition consider themselves to be the core of the movement — who led the charge against Palin ...such as Frum, Parker, and Brooks...”

Ahhhh... they, including Noonan, may have led the charge against Palin, but in no way are those elitists “the movement conservatives”.

Ronald Reagan, himself, threw the conservative leadership mantle on Rush Limbaugh to carry on in his stead - in writing. Rush has that letter framed and hanging on his wall.

Reagan would never throw his mantle on any of the pretenders to “conservatism” who have been going after Palin. RINOS always show their true colors, and we _WILL_ take the Republican Party back from them.

Much as I like the idea of a third party named, “The Pit Bull Party”, a third party will be a loser.

We need to take back the Republican Party. Our first opportunity to begin to do it is in 2010, and Palin will lead the way. Then in 2012 she’ll take the presidency in a landslide.

Most people have absolutely no comprehension as to exactly how far away Alaska really is, or how big it is.

Pictures here show how big the state of Alaska is in proportion to the lower 48 states. At 591,000 square miles, it’s AS WIDE AS the lower 48 states and LARGER than California, Texas and Montana combined. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2286564/posts?page=37#37

Tea Party ... I would hope those attending Tea Parties would coalesce around a national figure whose core beliefs are similar - Sarah Palin.

Ousted Honduran president expected in Washington

U.S. officials say Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton plans to meet ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya this week. It would be the highest-level contact the Obama administration has had with Zelaya since he was deposed last week.

Zelaya is expected in Washington on Tuesday following an unsuccessful attempt to return to Honduras over the weekend that deepened the country's political crisis. The State Department says the administration remains committed to seeing a restoration of democratic order in Honduras and deplored the use of force against Zelaya’s supporters.

2 million state funds plus 500K from Palin family have been spent.

"They should send the bill to the DNC."

Perhaps even sent the bill to the RNC, since much of the attacks in the press were coming from Romney and McLame's 'un-named staffers'.

You are confusing two figures. 2 Million has been the cost to Alaskan government, 500,000 in debt has been the cost to the Palins personally. That means they spent their money and went 500,000 dollars past that mark. That is what 500,000 grand in debt means. Both figures are correct, they just apply to different sources of money, one from Alaska the other personal income of the Palins.

Is one of Glenn’s kids sick? See the INTERACT WITH GLENN box on his website....

Hmmm... checked it out. Sounds like "C" came back from the "vacation from hell" with a bad sunburn. Maybe Glenn's fine (I hope that's the case), and he's just away on vacation...
