(Note that the overall trend in temperature over these 30 years is slightly "up" even though actual global temperatures in June 2009 were the same as they were in 1979: At this long term rate, global average temperatures in 2109 (130 years since 1979) might be 1.0 degree higher than now. Monthly - and yearly - temperatures go up and down like they did in 1998 (up!) and down (like they did in May and June of this year, so the very long term trend is most important. However, the fact that current temperatures are actually 0.0 above those 30 years ago can't be trivialized when the liberal socialists are claiming global disaster at every press conference!)

Of course, increasing temperature means a longer growing season, more crops and more land available to grow crops and ground cover.

The increase in CO2 to today's levels means EVERY plant on earth is growing faster, stronger, more drought and disease tolerant, and is producing between 14% and 27% MORE food, fodder, feed, fruit, fuel, and seed.

Gore, Hansen, Pelosi, Obama and the ABCNNBCBS are (deliberately) frightening people with projections of 6, 8, and 10 degree increases in temperatures!

Global warming is the largest tax scam ever, on the people of this country. Many of the computer models have been shown to be wrong. Yet, we still keep hearing this BS.
If you believe my Senator, I do not, it is to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. If it were about energy independence then drilling, and nuclear would also be pushed very hard. As well as using our other natural resources. It is about the government taking our money,and controlling our lives. All in the name of political science!!
