How can you say you are seeing this with 20/20 vision when you have little to no knowledge of what took place?

The truth about the Vietnam War has been distorted and covered up to the point that at your age unless you have spent a good portion of your life doing your own research and interviews you are blind to the facts of that war- a far cry from the 20/20 vision you claim to have.

The bitterness about the Vietnam War comes directly from the management of the war itself and the lies that followed. For many years those who lived during that time that understood what happened and especially the soldiers who fought there have been silenced by the shrill screams of lies from the liberals. Those who know the truth should not be silenced- they should be encouraged to speak the truth, and those who don’t know should listen and learn.

This might be ancient history to you- but the effects have shaped our history to this day and into the future. I recommend you make the effort to learn what you can about the War and the politics of the time- it will give you a clearer picture of what is happening now. When you have an opportunity to learn from those that experienced it- then you should not be trying to shut them up.

Yes there are indeed painful feelings about Vietnam- you should be curious about why that is, make the effort to understand the truth.

The country has not moved forward from Vietnam- much of what happens today began with the lies of the past. The crazy liberals of today gained their strength from those lies and learned the lessons of distortion from that time. If we could uncover the truth and pass it on in a way that is understood we might be able to convince those your age to open their eyes not just to the lies of the past, but the lies of today.

Saying it was 40 years ago and doesn’t matter today seems logical to you at your young age- but to those of us that have lived a longer life we understand that history is important, things that happened 40 years before I was born had a great impact on things that have happened in my life. The Vietnam War had a great impact on your life and will continue to impact your life in ways you cannot know if you don’t make the effort to figure it out.

I have read about the war. Did you know human beings have historically made really big fatal mistakes ?

Not just Vietnam.

But you can’t dwell on it. and sometimes it is human nature to find someone and put goat horns on them. But you can’t go back and change things. I am sure McNamara wished he could have.

a lot of bad things have happened from human error. not just wars. The great depression was bad. The sinking of the Titanic.

The reality is. we have to move beyond the past. Learn from history, but not re live it. and we should not have this debate before they have even burried the man.

sometimes we get so caught up in things. the 60s were just another decade on this earth. and on God’s watch. it went by in about a tenth of a second maybe.

There was that song about the great depression. “Song of the South”. It captured the pain of the era. but the whole point of the song to me was, “we survived, now lets move on”
