On Fox News Sunday this morning, Weekly Standard editor, and FNC contributor, Bill Kristol predicted Sarah Palins path to the White House in 2012. He predicted that Palin would become a leader of conservatives, the leader of the GOP, and then president, just like Obama did. According to Kristol, Palin is just like Obama.
Here is the video courtesy of Think Progress:
(VIDEO AT LINK)
Kristol said, "Barack Obama ran for Senate in 2004, was elected to the Senate and the moment he was sworn in began running for president of the United States. He had no Senate leadership record to speak of. He didnt spend much time in the Senate, certainly for the last two years of his term, He effectively had left the Senate by the time he started living in or visiting Iowa and New Hampshire in early 2007, and everyone said ooh, he cant compete with these people with these long records, and whats he ever done and Republicans like me we all oh hes a community organizer, come on a one term Senator. He seems to have gotten elected President of the United States.
He continued, I dont think it is foolish for Palin to think, You know what, if thats the world we live in now where people dont value maybe correctly experience in years of experience in Washington, or two terms counts more than two and half years as Governor of Alaska. Maybe she thinks she gets out there and becomes a leader of the conservative movement, and then a leader of the Republican Party, and then conceivably a nominee of the Republican Party, and then conceivably a president just as Obama did.
Kristol left out two key points. One, even while running for president, Obama kept his office. Obama didnt quit the Senate after two years to run for president. Two, while Obama was a relative unknown in 2007, Palin has already been defined in the minds of voters by her run with John McCain in 2008. Palin is already a known quantity with voters, a majority of them already decided that she isnt qualified to be vice president, much less president.
His comparison of Palin and Obama is the pipe dream of a desperate Republican looking for a savior. Obama was already more qualified to be president when he started to run, than Palin is now. Two years in Alaska does not equal being a U.S. Senator. Of course, Kristols predictions are a joke. Kristols predicted that Ted Stevens would keep his Senate seat in Alaska, Gov. Jennifer Granholm would be Obamas Supreme Court nominee, and biggest of all, Obama would never beat Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination.
To be fair he has been a pretty staunch supporter and defender of Gov. Palin.
Barry of Nazereth didn't resign from the Senate b/c he didn't need to. He was hardly ever there to conduct Senate business.
This is the best they can do?
I didn’t mean Bill Kristol is a “libtard”, I meant “J.M. Easley” the author of this article.

Sarah Palin is more qualified then Obama a thousand times over. What the hell did Barack Obama ever do in his life that makes him “Qualified” let’s see, he served what, 100 days in the Senate, and did NOTHING accept vote “present” then he went on the campaign trail, gave some BS speech at the DNC Convention, so that is all it takes to become President nowadays. Sarah has more experience in her big toe then Obama has in his entire body. And by the way Kristol, Sarah Palin and Barack Obama have NOTHING in common. Under President Palin, we wouldn’t have a 10 percent unemployment rate, 3 trillion bucks in debt, and you wouldn’t see Sarah going around the world apologizing for America’s “arrogance” every damn second
The difference is Palin’s ideology is right, and Obama’s is wrong. I’ll take her inexperience because she’s right! (and hot)
Sorry, she’ll probably never get my vote, if given the opportunity to vote for her. The only thing that made her qualified to become vice president was her experience as a governor. And now she has quit that job. I don’t see how that helps her with any future campaign. Contenders will portray her as a quitter who couldn’t take the heat and the pressure. And she will still have 5 children (at least) when 2012 comes around.
Go, SARAH, Go!!!
Yeah, which is ironic considering he voted "present" on virtually every piece of legislation but was "not present" for the 2 years he was fleecing the taxpayers of his state.
2012 will be a referendum on Obama as all 2nd terms are. If massive Gov’t spending helps reduce the debt, Wind and Solar become viable energy sources, we reduce our impored energy and playing nice with Iran leads to peace then Obama will win no matter what. What we need is someone to be out there all along saying told ya that wouldn’t work.
These fools don't even know how badly these antics will play with the average, hard working American.
Sarah took the high road here and these idiots can't even perceive it.
What are you talking about?

What does it matter if she is the mother of 5, 6, or 8. Does the size of a person's family disqualify someone for office these days?
Kristol may be right. The only sensible move for Gov. Palin, if she plans to keep in public service, is to make a run for the Senate. I think she would beat Mulkolski in a a landslide. And then........ :)
“Obama was already more qualified to be president when he started to run, than Palin is now.”
Whaaaaaat???
Oh yeah, I believe that, fer shure.
Yeah, because it's better to keep voting "present" and taking lots of time off to campaign like zero did.
Contenders will portray her as a quitter who couldn’t take the heat and the pressure.
Yeah, and there will also always be people like you who have made up their mind against her and would prefer 4 more years of Obamanomics.
And she will still have 5 children (at least) when 2012 comes around.
Barack has two girls. So sexist and snarky and stupid.
A Governorship requires more responsibility than Senator since the latter is the leader of a government.
I think he was referring to the route to the White House, not the experience of the two individuals. If it worked for a virtual nobody, just think how it would work for Gov. Palin!
