Beckett has been here six years longer than you have. He’s hardly a DU plant.

You folks who think Sarah just pulled off one of the brightest moves in political history, need to realize that not everyone is convinced of it, even on our side of the isle.

Her executive experience is something I saluted her for during the campaign last year, even though it was limited to a term as mayor of a relatively small town, and serving a year and a half as Governor of Alaska. This was still more than Obama had going for him.

Now my mention of her executive experience will be reference with the fact that she resigned because the Democrats were making things rough for her. And yes, they were making things rough for her. It’s inexcusable what they have been doing. Well, as true as that is, when she’s in Washington, D.C. shes in for one hell of a surprise. That town can be every bit as vicious as what she has just been through. What then?

I know many of you support Sarah. I have been a big supporter of her too, so I know where you are coming from. What I realize is that Conservatives cannot vote her in ourselves. We are going to need Independents and Democrats to join us to achieve that.

It’s my opinion, she just made that a much harder sell.

So you can trash folks for realizing not everyone is going to see it like we do, and who therefore think Palin just reduced here chances, if you like. It won’t change reality.

Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t bow to his senority. But before you “correct” me for my lack of deference, you need to read back over his posts (especially the one where he said he couldn’t stomach the stupidity here) and compare those to similar posts at the liberal sites.

What kind of dopes cannot see that this pinhead woman, who when speaking off the cuff makes George Bush sound brilliant,...

Sorry, but this boiler-plate Palin bashing negates any credibility regarding the faux concern for Alaska and her oath of office. Sorry, I'm not buying that it would have made any difference to beckett whether she served the remaining 18 months or not. This seems a bit opportunistic IMHO.

At the rate things are going, by 2012 they might be 'dying' to vote for Palin.

I think we underestimate ourselves and have been duped into submission by the MSM.

I live in a "liberal" state (CA) and my man on the street polling finds that conservative/commie is about 50/50. I used to think that collaboration with the enemy was the only way to gain anything in politics, but the rhino moderates GW and McCain proved that wrong.

and look at how well the dems did with their radical extremist candidate

How ?? The messiah was in the senate for less than 4 years and this Chicago Thug is in the WH dismantling it as we post. Palin was Governor longer than Barry was in the Senate !
Palin needed to confront her attackers immediately on eastern time and not on the Alaska time zone plus stop the Axelrod / Rahm astroturfing her with a sea of phony ethics complaint articles in the Obama media . If you do not understand why the Obama WH smear teams had to be stopped by this move then read this

beckett invites the criticism received.

We are going to need Independents and Democrats to join us to achieve that.

If you look back at the 2008 election, the massive crowds she was drawing, and the diversity of conservatives, Independents, and even Democrats, she drew the very support you describe that she needs to win. She has whatever magic communication that Ronald Reagan and Lady Thatcher had to draw people towards her issues.

If you look at Obama's recent poll numbers, the group that is most dropping (by a lot!) are Independents. After only six months, that is devastating for Dem 2010 and 2012 prospects. And they are not letting up on the very issues that are driving people away from them.

Yes, it was a Sarah Palin gamble. But political history is replete with gambles that at first seemed mistakes that turned out to be very winning strategies. Americans may decry "quitters," but they also respect and love guts. I think most people will see this move as the latter if she announces a 2012 run. Time will tell.

My own opinion, she did the right thing if she wants to be a serious presidential contender for 2012.

RINOsh*t. A person who is merely not convinced would not refer to Sarah as a "pinhead woman."

DO, with the way O is trashing this country and the ideals it was founded on, Sarah will have no problem garnering support among independents and blue dog dems.

For the sake of conservatism, please look at the bigger picture.
