SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) — An exit poll says that Bulgaria's right-wing opposition GERB party has won the country's parliamentary election by a wide margin.

The Alpha Research poll shows the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, or GERB, led by Sofia Mayor Boiko Borisov claiming 38.5 percent of the vote Sunday.

Last month, right of center political parties swept European elections for the European Union parliament. Now it appears right-wing parties are winning in parliaments in individual parties--Belgium is the one this week.

Of course, the LameStream Media will ignore this in their pursuit of Hussein worship.

Clearly, though, Hussein's philosophy is being rejected by the European voters.

Unfortunately, winning will depend upon who COUNTS the vote, not how it was cast. One can learn a lot from democrats.

With most of Europe moving right, and the US moving left, in a few years we may all be boarding ships to head back to the old world....

IMO, we need to be cautious before we call these parties "right wing"...after all, do they:

- - believe in limited, minimal government?;

- - believe that all of us "are endowed by our Creator w/ certain unalienable rights" that the government should not be allowed to infringe upon?;

- - believe in a policy of NON-interventionism in the affairs of other nations rather than getting involved in "foreign entanglemennts" for the purpose of maing "the world safe for democracy"?;

If they don't believe in these 3 important principles, then they are NOT on the Right...they are either in the mushy center (a la el Presidente Jeorge Boosh) or on the left (President 0).

One step at a time on all of your points. Taken in its context, things are changing.

We must remember that this is the Associated Press doing the repoting here...so as far as they are concerned, anything that is not left of Bill Clinton is considered "right wing".

Good news in Bulgaria, the country that once elected their former boy Tsar as Prime Minister.

The party is question is a new one, formed in 2006 in an effort to unite the right in Bulgaria.

“its stated priorities are fighting crime and corruption, preserving family as the cornerstone of society and achieving energy independence.”

It seems to be a center-right party. But mostly pro-EU I think.

Quite so. What is “Right-Wing” in Europe is often defined as fascist nationalism, or really just the right-sided prong of the Left wing (with the left-side of the left prong being outright Communism) and antithetical to American Rightism.

Thank you...it really ticks me off when people say that the Nazis & fascists are “right wing”. That is a total LIE. They are as left-wing as you can get, w/ the exception of Communism.
