The Obama administration is reacting to the anticipated launch of another North Korean long-range ballistic missile, expected to fly over the Pacific toward Hawaii sometime soon, by putting missile defense on alert. That's a big change from last time. Back in April, in advance of North Korea's last missile test, the administration pretty much pooh-poohed the threat posed by the Taepo Dong launch, characterizing Pyongyang's saber-rattling as bluster. Indeed, from all outward indications, Team Obama did just about nothing but bloviate to defend U.S. territory and interests from the missile that, by almost all accounts, has the potential to reach the western United States

Preparing is not the same as deploying.
Preparing is not the same as deploying.
No idea how that happened. Sorry.
0buma: “Our Missile Defense System will be full of love and compassion...genuine understanding for other cultures and we will be open to a full dialog to resolve our differences...unlike Bush who didn’t love or care.”
Reality bites. Snort.
Indeed, wasn't too long ago though zer0 was calling this "unproven" missile technology so he could gut it.
Dip wad put himself in a real bind over this one
This just in: “Having seen that it would be expedient and for the good of our country, I authorized full proof of my birth and a copy of my birth certificate from the hospital in Hawaii. Unfortunately, the North Korean’s latest missle destroyed the hosptial, and with it my proof. My bad. Thankyou all.” Barak Obama.
When it comes to Missile Defense, we are going to need it, sooner or later. When we do need it, there won't be time to ramp up development. This is most definitely one of those times/things in life where you have to think and prepare ahead of time.
Presumably he was presented, hopefully rather forcefully, with the proof, by at least one of his generals.
Hopefully he listens, I can't freakin believe we have a POTUS who's motive we have to question in a circumstance like this.
I never in my wildest dreams thought I 'd live to see a day like this in our Country
I never thought that Borat Obama would be the next POTUS; but now that he is, all bets are off.
It’s ok sometimes the left has to read things twice before they get it.
I can remember when liberal "think" tanks and "highly esteemed" professors with Phds from institutions like MIT, were saying you can't hit a bullet with a bullet.
I was an electronic design engineer working on state of the art weapon systems. We knew that it was (in control system terms) merely a matter velocity, lag time and accuracy. Which any good engineering team, given enough funding, could solve.
The lesson here is beware of liberal bloviators with fancy titles from "respected" institutions.
