It is funny, if not sad. We don’t believe the media and then use the media words to impeach our side. Yep, something wrong with that picture.

Therefore, Governor Palin will:

Move to Wisconsin...

Since those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, I will quietly bring this up, since choosing to repeat history is not quite the same as being doomed, but it does lead to repeats:

The Republican party was founded in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1854. They lost the 1856 election, then won the 1860 election - in large part because the country was torn apart and had 4 national parties running for the office that year.

The Republican Party was founded to a large extent to replace the Whigs.

The Republican Party also won the 1864, 1868, 1872, 1876, and 1880.

The first Republican election was, "free labor, free land, free men."

Any similarities to conditions at that time and the present may or may not coincidence. It may not take a whole new party, but there will be some major overhaul required to get the current Republican Party back to its purpose.

No pass given here either.

What I do have a problem with is how fast our guys are
to throw out (R) politician, such as Lott for example, for something
as trivial as an old mans birthday remark. That was weak and uncalled for.

When repubics say things that sound like kennedy... very seldom is it not true and they usually stand by their leftist tripe while bashing people like me and telling me that I must become more like the dims.

Credit where due. The Democrats are better at staying on message and attacking Republicans than the other way around.

You’re right on the money. I read her piece this morning. First one in quite a while. Made me remember why I quit giving her any of my time. She is a POS as far as I’m concerned.

Fishtalk, you lead such an interesting life! So many things you talk about have familiar strands reaching towards events and characters in my own family and world. It is not all bad and in fact quite hilarious at times. The young women you describe are an aspect of the current generation that troubles me very much. I believe that the homosexual lesbian and gay saturation of every aspect of our culture, i.e. education, media, entertainment etc, has sickened and warped the sexual nature of several generations. Girls used to have friendships and crushes on each other in the nature of best friends or favorites but now they are pushed to experiment with sexual expressions which leave them feeling guilty or permanently ruined for normal male mating. Our grandchildren are especially vulnerable to this invasion of perversion into their lives. Your granddaughter is fortunate to have you looking out for her.

I think Huckster is a con man....he goes with whatever makes him money. He’s doing better than I would have thought but he is a phony in my book.

Tony Blankley has lost weight.

Cyntia Tucker has done something terrible to her face.

Stray thought here....

With the libs' dire attitude about the Republicans EVER getting back in power and or any hopes at all for Sarah Palin's having a political future,

I keep thinking about the example of the triumphs of SEABISCUIT.

Lott screwed himself.

If he hadn't learned that politics was/still is a full contact sport after all the years he had been in he was indeed inept.

He went around apologizing, looking weak, leaving blood trails in the water and the sharks come out and ate him up as they are trained to do.(both on the right and the left)

Had he stood firm and made no apology at all it would have been a 5 day news story and than gone. Once he put chum/blood in the water the politico sharks just could not help themselves.

The Dems are better at staying on message....

They are also better at having a message. They all read the same talking points and spew the same swill. I don’t know who message central is, but every Dem politician and pundit gets the same word everyday. They often use identical language when spouting the message of the day.

Search the archives at the Sun Herald... dickie is his brother-in-law... many have gone down for corruption involved with scruggs... the only thing missing is the smoking gun. He did not resign because he was ready to quit. Maybe I am wrong... but many here in Mississippi... many Lott supporters agree with me. Where there is smoke... there is fire. Trent was always surrounded by smoke... and mirrors.

They are trying to make it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

That's what I'm saying, our guys never backed him.
As a matter of fact, they steered clear of him from
that point on.

Sad our guys seem like such sissies when it comes to a fight.
