FOX doing a re-cap of Sarah Palin!!!
Is Sarah going to FOX?
but but but Andrea Mitchell said her friends said she was calling it quits/s
the “resignation” speech took several detours that showed it was more than just resignation,
anyone who watched her deliver the speech knew she was not going away
what a bunch of media pinheads and all their BS wishful thinking analysis
"This is to provide notice to Ms. Moore, and those who re-publish the defamation, such as Huffington Post, MSNBC, the New York Times and The Washington Post, that the Palins will not allow them to propagate defamatory material without answering to this in a court of law."
YEEEHAAA!
the controversial hockey mom
Ah, perhaps the AP missed the chapter about her being elected the governor of Alaska. One would think that they would refer to her as the controversial governor of Alaska instead.
Palin also cast herself as a victim and blasted the media, calling the response to her announcement “predictable” and out of touch.
You betcha!
It’s a Palin 4th of July weekend!
Just posting this because I just learned how to post pictures!
In giving up the perks of power, Alaskas governor Sarah Palin proves that she is no ordinary politician.
Powerful politicians, in other than egregious situations, seldom give up such power.
Sarah had a road-to-Damascus type of epiphany. She's always known about the tremendous grassroots support for her, but she thought it had more to do with her supporters than herself. It suddenly occurred to her that she is IT -- the "IT Girl", on whose shoulders lies an immense historical responsibility regarding the United States. And instead of saying "Why me?", she's stepping up to the plate saying "Why not me?"
This is the opposite of zerobama's relation to his own destiny. In a revealing statement at the demRat convention during the campaign, he told the crowd, "What my critics don't understand is that it has nothing to do with ME. This is all about YOU!" Meaning, I suppose, that he understood that he was simply a blank slate on which his supporters were projecting everything.
It's the opposite with Sarah. It's all about her -- she was the one who didn't realize it, thinking (mistakenly, if innocently), that it was all about her grassroots supporters. When she finally "got it," it must have completely blown her away! That's why, on rewatching the videotape of her speech, I perceive a suppressed excitement or "drive" in her. She's resigning her job as governor, but she herself is not resigned.
We're all lucky to be witnessing this. I think in the next few months we're going to see some amazing things.
She does want she wants to do, God bless her for it.
=========
We are all working our own part of the battlefield... but went you see another element on the other end of the line make a move ..know the difference if their maneuvering, retreating or surrendering
Palin has resigned before to break out and maneuver...
She made her political name on the Alaska Oil and Gas board bumping heads with the party...She did a very high profile resignation where again, she was supposed to be "done"
Then she bypassed the party system and did a grass root guerrillas movement against the system all the way in to the governor's office
Is that whats going to happen this time?... don't know... but she had done this same head fake before...
The key I think to watch for is if she comes down in to the lower 48 as a very hi profile independent advocate for Alaska oil and gas and against cap and trade.. it's the logical door.. it give her a very legitimate platform to attack Obama, while being seen as doing her higher duty for Alaska...and to not to being seen as just attacking Obama with no reason.
Their was one other little odd tell this week.. a story headline, "Palin: If I ran against Obama, I would beat him" Turns out this was a story about real running but Palin in the story was clearly playing with the double meaning of her words in the story... saying she had the long term endurance to beat Obama in a run....odd trash talk from some one that was planning to give up at the end of that same week
yeah, yeah...higher calling...whatever.
Her family is a higher calling. Could be that’s all she meant.
Regardless of what ‘The Plan’ becomes, I give her high praise for having the integrity to resign her position instead of being one of these useless absentee politicians who “legally” continue to hold a position for people they have no intention of actually serving. That’s refreshing.
Gloves are off, folks. Days of liberals smearing Republicans with false allegations and innuendo are over.
Once she resigns, the gloves are off. She can now represent the US. Just a few days ago, I asked on FR, who is going to step up and take on obi-one? Well, I think my answer is about to happen.
She is going to rip obama and his congress non-stop. She is going to help us fight the energy bill by telling people what it REALLY means. She is going to fight government health care by telling people what it REALLY means.
She is going to have obi-one and congress on defense constantly. Too bad she is waiting so long, though. The votes may happen before she gets there. I hope not.
Even if one or both pass, she can still do a lot of damage to obi and the dems for 2010 by revealing what the dems are doing.
The cool thing is that the media will cover her because she brings an audience where ever she goes and whatever she does. If they don’t cover her, she will do dozens of speaking engagement, which will help her cover her bills and then some.
Maybe even a talk show.
The term “higher calling” makes is sound as if she were planning on joining a convent.
Put it in God’s hands, and the most unexpected things happen.
Weary Palin Sought to Regain Control
*****************EXCERPT*************************
Unease in Spotlight, Family Concerns Sparked Decision

Why did Sarah Palin step down?
Theories abound. But some of the people closest to the Alaska governor say she wanted to regain control of a political script that slipped out of her hands the moment she burst onto the national stage. She also wanted to shield herself and her family from the attacks that seem to have been aimed permanently at them in the 311 days since.....
*************************snip*****************************
The woman who said she would never blink suddenly tired of what she deemed the "superficial, wasteful political blood sport."
So she quit.
Yet Palin's vulnerability masks her firepower, ambition and strong will, advisers said. Not one to fit comfortably into convention -- and not comfortable being a victim, either -- Palin spoke Friday as if she was rolling the dice and betting on herself. She presented herself as a game-changer stepping onto a stage of her own making.
What that stage may be remains the big question looming over national politics this weekend, and advisers said she is truly undecided about running for president in 2012, or ever. But for the first time, she recently solicited money for her political action committee.
