VANITY: Possible way for Romney to gain Palin's support [mega baforama!!]
July, 4, 2009 | yongin

Posted on 07/04/2009 5:09:47 AM PDT by yongin

Many FReepers are skeptical of Romney's conservative credentials. They don't like his past positions on abortion, healthcare, and gay marriage. They feel his rightward shift on social issues to be less than sincere.

Many conservatives are angered by the Left's attempts to character assassinate Palin thru silly ethics complaints. They have made Palin's administration and family into side shows. The ethics complaints have driven her to be $500,000 in debt.

This situation might provide an opening for Romney to gain Palin's support. Romney could step in to pay off Palin's legal debt. He then could make a speech about how conservatives must unite against the Far Left with Palin giving her endorsement. If Romney does this action, would it make him acceptable to Freepers?

The Palin’s don't need his money...The advance for the book she is writing has seven figures. She has turned down hundreds of paying speaking opportunities, which she now can honor.

Now she has time to finish the book and get it to the presses faster. Do the book tour, appear on the talk shows etc etc etc.

Sarah has read the tealeaves and she's sitting down at the table to pour.

If that actually happened then I would lose much if not all respect for Sarah and I’d still say Romney is a flopping socialist.
I highly doubt Sarah is bought.

It’s obscene to start running now. I want conservatives to take back Congress, then let the grassroots orgs sue the admin over any and every executive order Qbama puts out.

Republicans need Palin more than Palin needs Republicans.

No.

I for one will not be bought off by Romney.

We've already seen Romney's true colors.

I am of the belief that "a leopard can not change his spots".

He's a typical Eastern elitist Rockefeller GOP type... the kind that look down their noses at us conservatives and sigh.

I don’t think she’ll sell herself off to the highest bidder.

She either extracts some rather serious conservative positions out of the Mitt-ster or no deal.

You just watch.

Here’s a better idea.

Lets pay for her legal fees ourselves.

We have NO hope if we put the RINO Romney ANYWHERE on a Republican ticket....

Sarah is the BEST hope the GOP has to regain the conservative vote; otherwise, she might as well go Third Party, and start it there (this will assure The Messiah a second term, same as Ross Perot's splitting of the Republican vote did for BillyBob).

IF Palin begins now to build the Conservative movement (which I believe she may be doing and resulted in her resigning as Governor), there MAY be enough time (attack the socialism and the associated attack on the economic system) to gain enough support when the welfare-mentality is no longer able to be funded, due to collapse of revenue.

The most difficult task is the State-run Media, which will continue to attempt to discredit her, and hide the facts of the Obamanation's failures from the sheeple.

Right.

Mittens steps in with his sewer money to buy-off Palin so he can go to Washington and institute the kind of Bushtard politics that drove conservatism into the ditch and gave the GOP the glorious victories of 2006 and 2008.

Righty-right. Sarah will fall for that one, you betcha!

Best,

Chris

"handful of bitter Romney-bashers"

Those "bitter Romney-bashers" are the ones who are damned tired of phoney RINO's, who are POLITITCIANS FIRST; with conservative values nowhere to be found in their history.....

Get a grip.

"Don’t assume that Romney isn’t already acceptable to many Freepers. He is."

As a shapeshifter, Romney's claimed plans each have a duty cycle of 10% - 30% for times of a few months.

Don’t assume that Romney isn’t already acceptable to many Freepers. He is.

For me, he WAS (past tense) acceptable. He and his acolytes cured me of that.

In fairness, I will say that Romney probably would have at least acted like he actually wanted to win, had he gotten the nomination in '08.

Yeh, I can see R doing that—but, hopefully. I have Lady Sarah pegged differently. Not all native-borns are “different.”
