Palin 2012. Hypothetical narrative.
If this is what she runs on — and does it well — then watch the hell out:
I’m Sarah Palin, and I’m running to be Citizen-In-Chief.
I entered politics to change something. I ran to serve my state, the great state of Alaska, and then for the vice-presidency because I care about this country.
I saw first-hand the viciousness and pettiness that have made Americans fed up with politicians, politics as usual, and the destructive personal attacks that also go on far too often. Those sorts of things that public service should never be about.
I thought I could serve my country best by being removed from that environment.
I don’t need a title to bring to Washington the change America really needs: a dose of humility in a federal government that has completely lost touch with its citizens.
So I come to you today as an Alaskan, as a parent of a soldier, and as a mother of five. I am running not as a member of the elite, of the establishment — but of the everyday. I ask to serve you as president because I have shared your experiences and I understand your disgust with the system. What we need today is not a ruler, but a servant. A servant of the people. A servant of America.
I will govern as first among equals, not as your ruler. Not as the Queen of Washington, giving orders that descend from on high. I know firsthand how that culture of selfishness and personal destruction in Washington harms lives. I ask for your support because I share your disgust with the system. And if you will fight with me, if you will put that trust in me to do that — then you can trust me, also, to change it.
Me too. I love her, wether she runs or not.

Well, if they were really mindless they wouldn’t be holding so much power, would they? I’d rather think they were sneaky and dirty. If they’re mindless and they’re winning, what does that make us? I’ll stick with sneaky and dirty. :)

Stupid. We all are for allowing this joke into the WH...."people get the leaders they deserve.." and we must have been really bad in a past life....let's hope we can learn and grow and grow some spine and reverse this mess....

Actually I feel white guilt had a lot to do with it as I don’t think Barry would have stood a chance of a snowball in hell if he wasn’t half black...
Well at least I can say I fought it at ever turn...lotta good it does me now though.
I like the part where she turns “quitter” into “no show”. If she announces a run for President, she can say “I believe that Alaskans deserve a full time Governor. When I decided I wanted to run for President, I decided that I would give up the great job of governor I had. My opponents kept their jobs. They’re out here in New Hampshire shaking hands. They missed a vote today in Washington DC.” If she does announce a run for President, her resigning will be seen as a major plus.
Yeah dude, way to detect sarcasm.
But really my only point was to demonstrate that YOU didn’t make a point.
You just threw out a statement with no context or backing.
I’m used to seeing that from libs but I hoped for better fom Freepers.
After all, we are the same side, right?
But if it’s a bet you want: Sarah is the next official pubbie candidate for pres or I must donate 50$ to FR or your favorite charity and vice versa. (all payments must be made online thru cc etc. blah blah blah).
