Palin improved McCain’s standing for a while. They were leading in all the polls in September.
But then she imploded and McCain went back down to where he was before picking her.
In the end, she didn’t have what it took to bring in more votes than 0bama brought in.
That’s how elections work. They are pretty straight forward.
Two tickets are on the ballot, and their supporters stand up to be counted. Who ever has the most wins. Sarah Palin’s supporters stood up to be counted, and there were 10 million fewer of them than there were 0bama supporters.
A lot of people also lost faith in McCain’s judgement after the Palin implosion. How many people decided not to vote for McCain because of her?
When McCain picked Palin, she essentially took over the ticket. Conservatives got on board and moderates and independents dropped out. There was a complete transfer of support. It became a Palin/0bama race.
Both candidates gained and lost support as the public studied them, and when it came time to be counted, 0bama had 10 million more people behind him than Palin did.
God love you CP, but you have a very odd view of history.
McCain lost because of McCain. His candidacy made Bob Dole look like an exciting candidate. McCain’s “let’s all get along” crap and his multiple liberal-lite positions made it impossible for him to win. Even if you put Reagan or Limbaugh on as his VP, I bet he still loses against Obama.
Heck, Obama looked MORE Conservative than McCain. How is that possible?
Quit blaming Palin for McCains MANY, MANY campaign liabilities. She may not be the one in 2012, but she was NOT the problem with McCain’s crappy campaign.
You are beginning to tarnish extremely extreme's high regard of you. Your droll is getting boring.
Ok...in this post alone you say Sarah “imploded” twice. What do you mean by this? Sarah inploded in what way!! you are throwing this crap out and hoping someone will just accept your statement. WHAT IMPLOSION ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
