Sarah Palin, New Party ?????
vanity | 07/03/2008 | taildragger

Like many here, I am a political prognosticator. I followed Sarah Palin here for almost 2 years and told friends last May if McCain only chance is to pick Palin. So what does Sarah Palin's latest move mean?

Excuse me, that was the McLame No Fight Express Juggernaut.

Did you prefer McCain to Romney as the GOP nominee?

Not my argument, but I didn't like either of them, I would have done a write in if Palin had not been on the ticket. There are plenty more like me, so get over yourself, you will not change a single vote.

The next contest is for the heart and soul of this republic, you find me someone that will take that fight to the street, other than Palin, then we will line up. Meantime go check your voter registration.

If you want to save the Republic, the best way of doing that is defeating 0bama in 2012.
If you want to defeat 0bama in 2012, the best way of doing that is to wait and see who runs for the GOP nomination, and get behind the candidate that can offer the best alternative to 0bama, and can take him apart the best in a debate.
Whoever that is, I don’t know yet, and won’t know until to 2011 debates.
But I do know it ain’t gonna be Sarah Palin.
She is a mediocre performer at best, has very little grasp of the issues, and absolutely no command of the facts.

We need someone more like Newt Gingrich and less like George W. Bush.

Nixon lost to JFK for the Presidency

Nixon lost to the same Chicago thugs that are in control now, Cook County Il.

"It’s a safer bet than the Palin juggernaut."

You really wanna go there?

And I am pretty confident one will.

Why, it could even be you, I can tell by all your positive statements.

So Palin’s supporters didn’t have an opportunity to cast a vote for her in 2008?
I believe you are mistaken.
If she has the ability to bring out 70 million voters as a presidential candidate, then she would have brought out 70 million voters as a Vice Presidential candidate.

She didn’t come anywhere close.
The reason is because there are nowhere near 70 million Sarah Palin supporters out there in America.

I can’t predict the future, so I can’t tell you who I am supporting in 2011/2012.

Well you have made it pretty clear, you are not supporting Palin. Of course she hasn't stated her intentions so.....

And she would be a loser once again if she ran against 0bama again. What part of “10 million votes less than 0bama” do you not understand?

And what part of SHE didn't run against Obama, McMain did! don't you understand?

This time arounds going to be a whole different ballgame. Obama's newness and smooth-talkin' jive is not going to be so easy to slip past people 4 years into the 'plan'. We will have more tangible things to use as proof. The country will also have more time to get to know Palin and she wont be hampered by having to play second fiddle to a barely passible candidate.

Don’t bet on it.

And according to you, someone more like Newt would. I see the painkillers are working.

That’s right, I’m not supporting Palin, and I think it is a fool’s errand to do so.
I’m waiting to see who steps up.
We’ve got time. No need to cling to last elections loser out of desperation and a lack of a better idea.

Someone who can expose every lie 0bama tells as he tells them in the debates and elsewhere and provide real common sense alternatives to 0bama’s agenda is someone who could defeat him. That person would be like Newt Gingrich, but not necessarily the man himself.

I’m all for him entering the race and seeing where the chips fall, though.

The Supreme Court doesn’t dare challenge the politicians. 0bama’s unconstitutional Czars have become the law of the land.

At this point you are correct, but I don't think the Supremes are afraid of his agenda, I think they endorse it. We will see if any case can ever get there, which I doubt.

I am convinced that The RINO republicans have let the Supreme Court institute their hidden agenda, without getting any of the stink on themselves.

Nixon never ran against the same opponent twice, though.
That’s the difference between his comeback and the 2012 Palin comeback some misguided FReepers want to see.

Running against the same guy you lost to 4 years earlier is good way to guarantee losing again. Just ask Dewey, Stevenson, and Mondale.

While all of us are able to express our opinion, CP seems to be trolling each and every post to make negative comments about Sarah Palin. I have decided to counter his counterpunch!

TO ALL: DO NOT FEED counterpunch, THE TROLL!

Newt Gingrich is a Global Warming pimp and cable new show bookseller
He could not get elected dogcatcher if he owned the town

Anyone who listens to Newt belongs on that bench with NAZI Pelosi

Gingrich floats all these fantasy solutions but is now exposed as a cross between John “CFR-NRDC” McAmnesty and Arlen “Unicorn Killer” Spector

She WAS McCain’s best shot. The problem was McCain was McCain’s worst enemy.

In any case, she’s not starting a new party or anything. She’s had enough of the cesspool; there is only pain and suffering for her family and nothing in for her or them. She’s going home.

That’s a weak arguement. Polls indicate a very strong possibility of contention till the market went through havoc.

NO REPUBLICAN COULD HAVE WON THIS PAST ELECTION GIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES!

The public sentiment was far too contagiously against it to rationally undo.
