This piece of rot is not an analyses but a moaning babble-wish from a media degenerate.....

The inside-the-beltway lounge lizards of all stripes have been blindsided by Sarah’s speech today.

I’ve listened to it four times. She’s not going anywhere but on a vibrant campaign to set things right with this country.

Quin Hillyer, senior editor at the Spectator, calls the resignation an “appalling dereliction of duty.” No--what Mark Sanford did is an appalling dereliction of duty. What Sarah Palin did today is a smart and savvy move, and it's having the desired effect. All you old slouches inside the beltway are in a tizzy!

Methinks there is an over-analysis of Governor Sarah Palin's decision with a little knee-jerk thrown in. The reason for her decision is basic. Governor Sarah Palin needs to be free of the distractions of the Alaska governor's office to focus on one thing: her election as President of the United States. There is the simple matter of urgency to this. She needs to win the presidency in order to save this nation from total destruction by the Obamanitwits. Wouldn't one want to concentrate a little on that task?

Yeah, I thought the lame duck excuse was pretty pathetic, too.

On the other hand, I wouldn't stay in and let the socialists bankrupt my family.

The GOP has failed, time and time again, to follow Ann Coulter's Rule No. 3 (How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must), p.10):

“You must outrage the enemy. If the liberal you’re arguing with doesn’t become speechless with sputtering, impotent rage, you’re not doing it right. People don’t get angry when lies are told about them; they get angry when the truth is told about them. If you are not being called outrageous by liberals, you’re not being outrageous enough. Start with the maximum assertion about liberals and then push the envelope, because, as we know, their evil is incalculable.”

The going got tough in terms of spurious ethics charges against her, and she took off. That’s cowardly. That’s not sign of staying power.

Not true. There were 15 cases charged against her and she fought them all and won all of them.

Pretty one-dimensional thinking from Mr. Morrissey. Palin is moving her fight to guerrilla tactics, away from conventional warfare.

This is the most rational interpretation of this bizarre episode I’ve read yet.

And the cult-of-personaltiy Palinites (which, by the way, I almost was until today), remind me of the Bushbots who excused every one of Bush’s actions as part of some grand “strategery.”

Coming from HOT AIR that is exactly what this hit piece is all about.

I can see the scenario of a Sarah Palin and Matt Blunt ticket, both very successful one term governors, being a GOP success of Reagan proportions.
I think Sarah is Pissed at the left wingers and pundits to do the unconventional thing and stay in the spotlight. As long as the left wingers keep attacking her, she will gain momentum with conservatives who are sick and tired of the vile, inhuman left wing attack machine.

She will come out of the box in 2012 fully armed and with backup. The left wing weenies are scared of a woman who can field dress an elk and shoot from the hip.

Considering the mixed bag that was her 2008 campaign, and her resignation, I think that we have to conclude that Palin still has a bright political future but it is going to be her version of the present careers of Newt Gingrich and Karl Rove: important contributions but no serious aspirations (or prospects) to return to public office.

I can see why her exit from the conventional political path is disappointing. She was (at least when on a script) a powerful exponent of traditional conservatism, and she was willing to speak truths about Obama that McCain was not, and had the nation not been spiraling into an economic crisis, truths that would have found an attentive audience.

It's an important measure of the seriousness of grass-roots conservatism that it accept that Palin is not going to be the GOP nominee for President in 2008. Being a bitter-ender won't change that reality, and will lead to a repeat of the 2007-2008 season, where grass-roots conservatives of various flavors frittered away their energy on the hopeless (Hunter, Tancredo) and the reluctant and ill-disposed (Thompson), tore themselves apart over the contradictions (conservative-ideology-wise) of Romney, and permitted McCain to emerge the nominee.

It is nice to see what I have been saying about Ed is reaching the masses. He is a MN. rino who does a radio show on a rino network. He loves to attack conservative women like Coulter Bachmann and Palin.
