Palin is retiring from politics.
Someone is smoking crack.
Haley Barbour has been underestimated his entire life.
We have much more than Mitt Romney.
Both of ‘em are awful.
What is it with the push for Mitch Daniels lately? George W. Bush’s “My Man Mitch” is not much my man.
I guess Romney is the RNC’s new anointed one. Why doesn’t the RNC just run a Democrat and call it quits for the GOP?
“Palin is retiring from politics.”
Were it not for your tenor at FR, I would call you a liar for that comment.
Republican primary voters like the “it’s his turn” mantra because it keeps them from having to look at a group of candidates and make a sound decision.
Erm Mitch would slap Romney silly and that’d be that. It’s not even a contest.
If Virginians can get Bob McDonnell elected in November, he has an awesome resume for national office. A small snippet from his website:
Bob McDonnell was one year old in 1955 when his father, USAF Lt. Colonel John McDonnell, moved the family to Fairfax County. At age 5 John was assigned to Germany, but the time away from Fairfax would be short. At age 8 Bob and his family were back in Fairfax, this time calling a house on Wagon Wheel Road in the Mount Vernon area home. They would remain there for Bobs childhood. Bobs dad retired from the Air Force in 1964 and went on to a second career with the Naval Investigative Service. He still lives in the same house today. Bobs mom worked for a Democratic Congressman from Texas, Rep. Olin Teague, and later at George Washingtons Mount Vernon. She passed away in 1994.
Bob went to St. Louis Catholic School for third through fifth grades, Woodley Hills Elementary School for 6th grade, and Walt Whitman Junior High School for grades 7 and 8. For high school Bob went to Bishop Ireton in Alexandria. It was while attending Bishop Ireton that Bob has his first, and only, brush with gridiron greatness, scoring a touchdown and a two-point conversion against the famed 1971 T.C. Williams Titans of Remember the Titans fame. You can read the Alexandria Gazette article about the game by clicking here.
After high school Bob was off to South Bend, Indiana to live his dream of attending the University of Notre Dame. He could only afford college through a full Army ROTC scholarship. For Bob McDonnell a higher education came with a commitment to serve his country. Like his father before him, Bob would wear the uniform as a military officer. Bob graduated in 1976 with a BBA degree in management.

RomneyCare. ‘Nuf said. No vote here.
If that’s the best we’ve got, I’m sitting out!
SERIOUSLY the Republicans will officialy be DOA when all we have left are RINOs!!..
Palin 2012!
My Vote:
Mitt 0
Anyone else 1
No more Romney or any other frickin’ RINO. If RINOs are all the GOP has then they will not be getting my vote for any of them. Palin is going to run in 2012, whether as a republican or some other party remains to be seen. I will vote for her, if she is not on the ticket and their is no equivalent candidate running, I will write in her name. The GOP is totally responsible for this type of thinking and I am not alone in the way I think. To blame the voter for voting for their beliefs is ridiculous. Run conservatives or lose the conservative base. The handwriting is on the wall for the GOP to see, they simply refuse to read it.
Is that like a special handshake or somethin' so that you all know each other?
MItch Daniels has run the state of Indiana well. He has been mostly successful in facing down the ‘Rats in the state legislature. He was helped by a Republican-controlled state Senate.
I will not support Mitt for any office. He is a liberal.
You underestimate both Governors Palin and Barbour.
Not on you life, never!!!!!!
Romney couldn’t win the nomination against McCain, fer cryin’ out loud.
Daniels just got reelected by a landslide. At least he’s fiscally conservative and he doesn’t give in when the press calls him names. I don’t see him ever pulling a W and passing a stimulus “even though it goes against everything we stand for.”
Daniels and Palin are probably the only people that would entice me to vote for the Republican party ever again. Although the specter of 0bama’s second and third terms looms large and terrifying. And yes, I said “third.”
