Unemployment is 9.5%? I just dont believe it.
While the unemployment rate for June was only 9.5% and up only .1, this number sounds fishy. Are they cooked?
Heres the numbers, see what you think.
An additional 467,000 American jobs were lost, 104,000 more than the experts predicted.
When those who have given up looking are added (a media favorite statistic when Bush was president) the REAL number is a staggering 16.5%!
At least 14,700,000 are unemployed.
The average work week fell to 33 hours, the lowest in FORTY FIVE YEARS, meaning huge numbers of workers are UNDER EMPLOYED another statistic from the Bush years.
We never heard of under employed until the Bush tax cuts started adding more jobs than Democrat controlled media could ignore.
Consider these job losses by industry.
Professions and business services 118,000.
Construction: 79,000 near DOUBLING Mays losses.
Retailers: 21,000 jobs AND 17,600 in May.
Financial services lost 27,000 ON TOP OF 30,000 in May.
Even the government CUT 52,000 up from 42,000 in May.
In both May AND June the Leisure industry lost 18,000.
Professional and business services slashed 118,000 jobs, MORE THAN DOUBLE the 48,000 lost in May.
One of the few industries adding jobs: education and health services, which added 34,000 positions last month and 47,000 in May.
Losses by group
Adult men rate is 10.0%.
Adult women rate is 7.6%.
Teenage unemployment is 24%.
Black unemployment is 14.7%, a .2% IMPROVEMENT.
Hispanic unemployment is 12.2 a .5% IMPROVEMENT.
Apparently all of the 81,000 new education jobs (do you believe education is ADDING jobs? School systems are laying-off all over) and health services jobs MUST have gone to Blacks and Hispanics.
When Bush was president snarky Leftists called any new jobs hamburger flippers. Lets just call these new jobs bedpan flippers..

Just imagine when Barry’s term is up. He hasn’t even been in a year.
The only wiggle room Obammie and his Commies can use is: “Underemployment is not unemployment.” OK. So we drop the underemployed, even though they used these stats against Bush to decry the economy. That still leaves us with unemployment at about 13%.
And as we know, unemployment tends to spread exponentially, like those old shampoo commercials (I laid off two workers, and they laid off two workers and all of them laid off two workers).
Great job, liberals.
Then, a few weeks later, they silently revise the numbers upward.
The average upward revision? 30K jobs. That's enough to take the stat from 480 to 510. For some reason, these commies are terrified of the 500K number and do whatever they can to come in under it. As if that makes any difference.
I am hoping that he ‘term’ will be up long before 2012.
His term may not be up but his time is.
Jimmy Rogers says the numbers are a complete fraud, as they are from any government. Don’t forget the birth death index, jobs that are added to the economy that they use to adjust the numbers. This adds around 225 thousand jobs per month. It is pure bull. How many people do you know that are starting businesses and hiring people, even themselves? In this economy very few business startups are occuring. So the real unemployment number is hovering around 20 percent. Next year this time it will be at least 25 percent and probably by the end of the depression it will be 30 plus. I’d rather see the bailout money go to these people than the banksters who got up into this jam. And only see that happen on a very temporary basis. One thing we have in this depression that we didn’t in the last is unemployment insurance. And as Milton Friedman said, this is a very successful government program, it insures that we have unemployment.
The fact is there are going to be people on food lines and starving. The governments ability to deal with this situation is very disorganized and inefficient. There are going to be food riots. The price of food is escalating. Yes if you want to buy an NYC coop, you can get a great deal, or on a BMW 750il, the prices have come down. But the inflation is showing up at the gas pump and the supermarket, right when people’s incomes are getting slammed.
But don’t worry, Bamster Gangster is going to fix it all, just like he’ll get Iran, North Korea, Russia and China to behave themselves. There’s no need to fear, O Man is here.
Exactly. Remember the 60K census jobs that were added in May to cook the numbers and then were taken off the books the next month?
Add to all that you wrote the fact that the earth is now definitely in a cooling trend.
This is going to damage the crop yields.
Add Tap and Bleed to the cost of agriculture, maintaining a supermarket (coolers and freezers) and you are combining less food with much higher production and delivery costs.
And we must keep this one very simple truth in mind:
There is only one kind of tax, and it is a consumption tax. Every tax levied against a company or industry, every fee, fine, license or punitive cost is passed down the chain to the consumer.
And we’ll be trying to pay for that with greatly devalued dollars (inflation).
But, Zero celebrated Gay Pride Month.
In an effort to channel stimulus money to Obama’s supporters, the federal government is hiring minorities as fast as they can process the paperwork.
But the unemployment rate still keeps moving up.
If we had 16.5 percent unemployment you would think there would be a noticeable difference in congestion and I haven't really felt any.
Ditto at the restaurants and Malls - Packed. All this in California.
Jeez! What a F**k**g fake!
“We never heard of under employed until the Bush tax cuts started adding more jobs than Democrat controlled media could ignore.”
We heard about them a lot during the Reagan and Bush I administrations also.
But, actually, this group does not exist during democrat administrations. It’s sort of like homeless people. They just go away during democrat administrations due, I suspect, to the sheer moral power of democrats.
shows the relationship between reality and what the gubermint tells us.

“Well I don’t know about the numbers but, I judge how bad things are by traffic.
If we had 16.5 percent unemployment you would think there would be a noticeable difference in congestion and I haven’t really felt any.

Unfortunately these people and many others who ARE spending are doing so as a sort of “Last Hoorah” because they believe Obama will soon find a way to confiscate what money they do have. Rush talked around this point when he tried to figure out why Sanford went haywire.
If the reporter went to a mall that was in a high traffic area, it would look like that local economy was doing well. Down the street, away from the highway, would look like a Depression.
Where they made this selective comment is more an indicator of where they went, than what the economy as a whole is doing.
Mileage traveled is down nationwide about 3%. Fewer people driving to and from work. And in California, the roads are beyond capacity; so a 10% drop goes from total traffic jam to partial traffic jam.
