Time: July 4, 2009 from 10am to 2pm Location: Fort Lauderdale Federal Courthouse Organized By: Karen Moore/Lauren O'Brien
Event Description: Tea Party to Protest spending and taxes. Join us on Broward Blvd. and Third to make your stand against wasteful spending and taxation without representation.
We will be there from 10 am until 2 pm. Bring the kids and bring signs to show your support for this effort. Should you wish to contribbute or help out with time or spreading the word, please feel free to contact me.
See you all there!
This was huge on 4/15 at this location with 5000+ attendees for the most liberal county on earth (well outside of San Francisco anyway).
I was there, but not because of any of the so-called organizers. I was there as a result of Rick Santelli’s comments and Hussein’s despicable actions.
(no knock meant for Laura and the others...but they’re not responsible for my attendance.)

Better than the Liberal ACORN types who usually protest and pollute the area over by the Courthouse.
I see this way too many times. I really hope it is about much more than just "spending and taxes to most people if not everyone. For if it is only about money who gives a damn.
I think it can be about much more than spending and taxes. That is up to the people who attend. Lauren is a dem who hates Obama which is something that we really need to support. I met her very briefly on 4/15 so I cannot say how open she is to outright revolt. But I do know that 5K folks are very hard to keep on message. The message morphs into whatever the people want. The what ifs would surely get me banned here. So use your own imagination both for this tea party and those others nationwide.
Hubby and I will be there, is there anything we can do to help?
You can help by showing up. Have a creative sign. Bring a friend. Offer water to fellow marchers. Be polite. Stay on topic. Watch out for infiltrators. Smile at the motorists going by. Be informed. Educate the media who will be there (the last time there was a Sun-Sentinel reporter who demonstrated remarkable ignorance about politics...), but do so politely. Thank the cops for doing their job, but don’t let them push you around (last time they tried to keep us on one corner....it didn’t work).

We will be there! I’ll be the incredibly good looking guy with the End the Fed sign.
