"HOUSE OF CARDS" A BBC Show America Must watch....
Netflix ^ | Stardate: 090702

Posted on 07/02/2009 11:50:06 AM PDT by The Wizard

I cannot stress enough how important it is for Americans to watch the TV show from the BBC "House Of Cards" to see and understand how politics really operates.....

The sinister activities that we never talk about here in State controled media is layed bare for all to see in this incredible TV series....

Having stumbled upon it by accident I cannot tell you what watching only 1 episode did to me in underscoring the corruption that works hand in hand throughout the media and government and how it can be maipulated for personal gain when the "people" just follow along and do not learn to see things for themselves....this is an example of how the democrats work here in America...

the shows can be accessed at netflix and I urge anyone who can to see them to do so....

here is a brief description that only touches on the iceburg that awaits those who take the time to watch...

Set in Britain’s Houses of Parliament, this political satire follows the career of a ruthless MP (Ian Richardson) whose election campaign has been plagued by a number of mysterious deaths. The politician’s scheming knows no bounds, and he manages to ensnare a member of the royal family in his quest for power.

Episode 1

After Henry Collingridge becomes the leader of the Conservative Party, it’s Chief Whip Francis Urquhart’s job to mobilize support for his bid for prime minister. But when Collingridge snubs Urquhart following his narrow win, the vengeful MP begins a ruthless pursuit of the lofty office for himself.

Irony coming from the BBC, a vehemnetly anti-Israel media source. Maybe with the current economic situations going on in the UK, they should be umm, concentrating on those things...

It’s also well-acted, wickedly funny, and insanely entertaining.

One of my faves. I own the box-set, already. The main character it utterly evil. Worth a watch, folks.

You might very well say that but I can’t possibly comment!

Oh how I loved this series and thought the ending was so perfect even though I didn’t want it to end.

The main actor played Nehru in the film "Gandhi" also.

I think the guy should play Lucifer sometime. He'd make a good one.

I bought the complete DVD series about a year ago. It's excellent. The main character, played by the British actor Ian Richardson, is a devotee of Machiavelli's "The Prince".

Ian Richardson was brilliant in the lead. The show was produced during the leadership of Margaret Thatcher, and Urquhart was supposed to be Mrs. Thatcher in the fantasies of the BBC establishment.

Every time I see a Bawney Fwank presser, I think of this Britcom.

The incompetence is stunning.
