Niger leader undermining rule of law - White House

WASHINGTON, July 1 (Reuters) - The U.S. government voiced concern on Wednesday over actions taken by Niger's President Mamadou Tandja to extend his rule in the West African country.

"These decisions undermine Niger's efforts over the last ten years to advance good governance and the rule of law," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said in a statement.

Tandja responded to the rejection by Niger's highest court of his plan to seek at least another three years in power by sacking the judges and naming a new Cabinet.

....U.S. concern about the situation in Niger comes at a time when Washington is putting pressure on Honduras to restore ousted President Manuel Zelaya to office.

Zelaya, who took office in 2006 and had been due to leave power in 2010, was forced out over his push to extend presidential mandates beyond a single term.

“Where is the Secretary of State?”

She’s been usurped, as have all of the Clintonite cabinet members who Obama appointed.

Find a Czar...that’s where the power is.

It all leads back to the 0.

"I think this administration doesn’t quite know what the hell is going on."

I respectfully disagree...I think someone in, or close to, this administration knows what the hell their objective is.

That doesn't mean that I know, except that they are perpetuating chaos.

Most of 0’s czars, judges, etc. are appointees clinton tried, or wanted to, appoint, but couldn’t because they were too radical for the Repub congress. Got them all in now.

“a violation of the oath the president had taken on the Koran’

And therein is the simplest truth of all. They don’t call him Abu Hussein for nothing.

Do you remember when Obama was first announcing his cabinet appointees?
The media was shocked that he appointed so many Clinton era folks.
They were proclaiming that, with these appointments, Obama was a centrist.

However, most of the Czars are on the fringe left, and are accountable only to Obama.

I wish I knew how much they are being paid, but you can bet your life that they are being paid more than a civil servant would be paid.

Obama and the Czars are in control of this country.
The Cabinet has been rendered moot.
When was the last time you saw Hillary?
She should have been front and center during the recent foreign turmoil.

I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but Obama isn’t that smart.
He’s not taken a stand on many things.

There is much more behind the scenes than any of us knows.

Too, anyone with convictions would be able to speak on those convictions without a teleprompter.

He can’t go to the bathroom without it.

My only guess is that the president of Niger isn’t a leftist. That’s the only way to have Obama outright condemn you.

Bingo! This is his party:

National Movement for the Development of Society-Nassara

Mouvement National de la Société de Développement-Nassara Seyni Oumarou (President) Albadé Abouba (Secretary-General) Founded 1989 Headquarters Niamey

Ideology Conservatism, Liberal conservatism, Centre-Right

Awww, go ahead and sound like a conspiracy theorist. Conpiracies do exist and THIS one is a doozy. The orders come from on high via Greg Craig, Bill Clinton’s liason in the WH.
This is clinton’s party with a muslim flair. Everything clinton, bill AND hil, ever wanted to do when they were in and couldn’t because the Republicans controlled congress, is being done now. Everything.

Obama is undermining the rule of law right here in the U.S.. His plan is to destroy property rights, capitalism, and freedom. His various violations are not just due to inexperience or incompetence, they are premeditated.

Hey, Obama, remember we shouldn’t be “meddling” in the affairs of foreign governments. So what if some leader decides to murder millions of his own citizens (Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etal). It is none of our business to be meddling because it’s up to the citizens of those countries to fix their own problems. So no more moral support for victims of oppression please. It’s none of our business if other countries are ruled by despots and encourage their youth to hate the west. I mean it’s not like they’ll crash airliners into our skyscrapers killing thousands in the effort. (smirk)
