I’m reading a book called How The Catholic Church Built Western Civilization. A bit strong on the Catholic stuff but says that about 13th century, there were some of Aristotle’s writings which were rescued and translated into Arabic and made their way into Europe. They did influence Western thought and Christian Europe did much more with them than the Muslims. Good book. Sort of Western Civ for Dummies with a RC twist.

bull-****. The "islmmic" golden age was due to the Christians in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, North Africa, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, Iran. It was due to the Zoroastrians in Iran, Central Asia, Turkey, India. It was due to the Hindus and Buddhists in Afghanistan, Central Asia, western India (now Pakistan).
The only place that didn't experience the slammie golden age was the SAud peninsula: because Christians had been hounded out of there in the 8th century.
The rule is -- as the % of Mozzies increase, the overall culture, intelligence, IQ, civilisation, morality etc. decrease correspondingly.
