Seeing as how it's presently 1977 all over again, the next president is going to need to be someone who understands the principles of economic recovery and how to make it happen (as opposed to someone who pretends to understand the principles of economic recovery and pretends to know how to make it happen). This puts Romney squarely on the short list.
Meanwhile, we can pray that the majority of the economy isn't nationalized prior to the 2012 election. At this point, I'm not sure if there's much else I can do.

"...Republicans Tend to Nominate People Whove Run for President Before..."
Or put another way Republican nominate losers.
Not too interested in the MSM picking another candidate for me.

Didn't McCain, Dole and Bush the elder teach republicans anything??? There are a lot of reasons to not nominate Mitt. Mine is that I'm tired of losing due to running liberal lite rinos against an honest to by gawd liberal.

All we need to know here is this...
Unlike Romneys National Council for a New America, Free Republic is a conservative site!

If there is anyone here who doesnt understand why we cannot support a slick socialist politician like Mitt Romney, God help you, but youre on the wrong website. We went through this with the abortionist, gay rights activist, illegal alien supporting, gun grabbing Rudy Giuliani until someone created another website call WAnkers for Rudy and they all flew the coop. Hopefully, before too much FReeper blood is shed, someone will create a WAnkers for Romney site and we can be left to fight the good fight as we see fit!
FR is not for everyone!
Any other questions... :-)

"Lots of leftys looking at Mitt as the next Bob Dole."Well I'm just slightly to the right of Attila the Hun and I look at Mitt as the next Bob Dole, but with better hair.
God help us if this is the best we can offer up and a win for the Republican Party is not necessarily a win for the American People.
Please God send us a real leader, not this fake stand up Ken doll.

I don't want a Romney, McCain, Dole, or Bush to run for President or anything else.
I don't want another concilliatory, non-aggressive, can't-we-all-just-get-along-Republican. We need an American who knows his duty and has the courage to guide this faltering Republic back to world leadership. We earned it at Valley Forge and Belleau Wood and Iwo Jima. It's ours. Let's take it back!

Uh yeah?
I asked you to elaborate why you think it is “common sense,” not get a flip “read it yet” reply.
Frankly I don’t think it is common sense, and I did not understand why you said that.
But forget it.

Seeing as how it's presently 1977 all over again, the next president is going to need to be someone who understands the principles of economic recovery and how to make it happen And what would possibly lead you to conclude that Myth knows this? Is it because he was able to get wealthy family friends to invest money to buy undervalued companies?
Herbert Hoover also knew how to make A LOT of money and he did it without coming from a wealthy family.
Zero's agenda for the country isn't all that different from what Myth actually did in Massachusetts.

Sarah Palin is at the top of my list
BTW, I watched Brit Hume's All Star Panel discuss Sarah on Fox. Fred Barnes and Charles Krauthammer sided with Mara stating Sarah can and will not be a presidential candidate due to her foreign policy inexperience.
Those Neocon dipshits were big John McCain supporters - hated Fred Thompson. I noted their agenda then and see them blocking running smack on conservatives for the RNC again.
I'm for whoever Fred Barnes is against.

When the GOP nominates a CONSERVATIVE who is hated by the media (i.e. Reagan) they win by a landslide.

I like Sarah Palin too. It’ll be a tough slog for her, but I think the party needs her.

I like Mitt. He’s my favorite plastic, flip flopping, vacious, sonorous, desperate, weird, vague, disturbingly ambitious RINO who’s culturally clue less about Americans coupled with all the pizazz of Michael Dukakis on a bucket of demerol.
