Oops, sorry PJ, I did not realize you were the author of the actual article. However, the original article did not strike me as all that ‘sneering’.
Look, there are many reasons for me to be disgusted at the CS Monitor now, but this article is not one of them.

Billy started with nothing and worked his ass off.He made himself a success, which is what capitalism is about.Unfortunately, that system is being demolished and replaced with social collectivism.

Been a bad week for pitchmen -- Mr. Shamwow here should be making an appointment for an EKG if he's been paying attention.

He was a nice man with a nice family. He worked hard, was very generous and appreciated the success he attained.
I would have loved to meet the man. He seemed very genuine, even when pitching products.
What’s not to like?

You know what, probably nothing. I just thought the article was not that bad.
The funny thing is, that I saw one of his commercials tonight and he was actually not all that bad either.

"why is he yelling at me?"
If you noticed him yelling at you, he had your attention. That is the only think he wanted.

The new show "Pitchmen" details the pains these guys take to make sure the items they're hawking really work.
